Gail was a great host! Communication was easy and extremely efficient. We did not arrive until 8:00pm but Gail was waiting to welcome us. She kindly provided us with coffee, tea, fruit and breakfast cereals in the morning. The room is cozy and exactly as pictured. The house is about a 15-20 minute walk to the city centre and very easy to navigate.
Gail was really nice with us! The house is really well located, and , of course, you hace the plus of she being an artist! Beautiful cakes! :)
I had a genuinely lovely stay at Gail's house and would highly recommend it to anyone else. I would certainly visit again.
My boyfriend and I stayed in Gail's place for two nights! Gail was nothing short of a very forthcoming, friendly and helpful host!
For breakfast there was a range of cereals and a huge bowl of very fresh fruit, plus tea/coffee and water of course! The room was simple but clean!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and even when we accidentally broke the toilet role holder she was just so nice and we didn't have to pay anything. Thanks again for that Gail!!
Oh and another plus, the house smells of nice yummy cookies!
What an amazing experience we had at Gail's home! This was our very first Airbnb stay and she really set the bar high. The room was cute, simple, cozy and had an amazing skylight view of the stars! We simply adored it. Galway was one of our favorite parts of Ireland and having a great place to stay really made it even more special. It was a beautiful 5 minute walk to the ocean, 10 minute walk in one direction to the promenade and the other direction 10 minutes to down town. It was an absolute dream for us. Gail was such an amazing individual as well. So welcoming, sweet and great to spend time with! We enjoyed every moment of our stay. We had already booked our last night in Ireland in Dublin since we flew out of that airport, but when we found out there was a direct bus straight from Galway to the airport almost every hour, we wished we could have changed our plans and stayed one more night at Gail's. Next time!
What a great find in Galway! The location is absolutely perfect—a few minutes from the ocean and a short walk from Galway City (either direct or the ocean-front scenic route!) That's nice because parking can be difficult & expensive in the city, so this location is prime.
The room is super cute; I LOVE the window above the bed! It makes the room bright and airy. It was also very convenient having our own bathroom en suite, as well. It was a quiet neighborhood, which makes for a great night's sleep. The wifi was fast and the shower was hot, the best barometers for any traveler, no? ;)
Gail was very kind and was a pleasure to meet. She is an extraordinarily talented artist and a generally cool chick, for sure.
This was our very first Airbnb experience and it was a great one! Thank you, Gail :)
Gail is a lovely host! My boyfriend and I stayed in her home for two nights and found the accommodations to be perfect for our needs. The room and bathroom might be small for some but we did not mind it at all. It was a quick walk into town from her house and Salthill itself is a fun area to explore. If you're looking to visit Galway, I would recommend staying with Gail.
Gail was a very nice host. She was very kind and invited us into her home with tea and conversation. The accommodations were basic but quite adequate for one night. The location is just outside Galway in Salthill, a very nice seaside town.
I booked Gail´s room for 2 days because of it´s location and it´s accessibility to Galway. Salthill is only about 10 - 15 mins. bus ride from Galway. Salthill is a lovely quaint town with a promenade. Gail is very hospitable. She adviced me on places to see, where to eat, drink and shop in Salthill. The room is simple, clean and tidy which I expected. Gail was very busy at that time that I was there but she still managed to prepare breakfast, which I unfortunately declined because I was running after public busses, and she was there to answer all my queries. I will definitely come back and book this room.
