Welcome to my home! It is a 90-year-old, 4 bedroom house that I have been bringing back to life from its "tear down" state. While far from completed (which it will never be) it is now a light and airy space with lots of warm ambiance and a vibrant, creative "work-in-progress" atmosphere that improves with every guest's visit. I have been incredibly lucky to have had amazing and wonderful guests many of whom have remained long-term friends. Prior to Airbnb have hosted International students of all ages and nationalities, there has been only a single time that I did not extend someone's stay. I am saddened that I was unable to meet this student's demands as I take pleasure in providing a friendly and comfortable retreat for my guests.
Part of Hancock Park, the area is one of the best in Los Angeles. It is centrally located with buses that go everywhere. An east-west bus is just one half block away, and a north-south bus is three blocks away. Within a short walking distance are shops, restaurants, cafes, drug stores, markets (including Trader Joe's) and parks. LACMA and "The Grove" are 17 minutes away by foot, or 5 minutes by bike (there is one here for you to use). The entire area is a lush, park-like Oasis in the middle of our bustling Metropolis. People stroll, jog, ride bicycles and walk their dogs in all hours of day and night. This area is one of the safest in LA.

I am a retired teacher and spend much of my time in volunteering, socializing, and, occasionally, teaching little neighborhood fingers to play piano or a small harp. A miniature Schnouzer (Winston), lives with me, and loves having people in our home as much as I do. He also gets along with other dogs and cats. He and I would love to have you share our warm and friendly, albeit humble, abode, and look forward to your inquiries and feedback.

Best to you in your quest . . .

Irene & Winston
