Stayed with Aine on both ends of our trip to Ireland. Her and her husband Shane were very welcoming--always ready with tea and great to share stories with. The room was very clean and comfortable. Aine was very accommodating with check-in time and even helped us out with a small load of wash. Breakfast was very good and flexible on timing. Location was great for arrival and departure from the airport. Had good recommendations for local food and pubs.
Nice room w/ a bathroom next to the room. A little confusion about our reservation but that was quickly sorted out. Aine's partner (forgetting his name) was especially kind and friendly.
After we settled into our room Aine greeted us with hot tea and sweets and made us feel welcomed. The room was as described with a very comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. Because the home is located half way on a hill where the road curves we had to be very careful as a pedestrian crossing this road to get on to their property. The Pavillion Shopping Mall was a five minute walk which was a plus and buses to the city within walking distance. Aine was very helpful making arrangements to have a taxi available for our early morning flight which we appreciated. Her husband Shane made sure we got off okay and prepared a cold breakfast with coffee before we left.
My husband And I spent our last night together in Europe at Aine's house. After a VERY long and stressful day of traveling (missed flights, running through airports, arriving HOURS later than we said we would) We arrived at Aine's place and I felt better the minute I stepped through the door. She was apologetic we had a bit of trouble finding the place (For future guests, Brackenstown Village is NOT Brackenstown Road, and You should let the Taxi know "We are going to Brackenstown Road in Swords, its the very first driveway after you turn onto Brackenstown Road") I read this in all her other reviews, but I really do wish we could have stayed longer. The proximity to the Dublin Airport was wonderful, and she was so friendly and welcoming it made the long trip getting there worth it. She offered tea, and drinks when we arrived and in the morning before the airport wanted to make us breakfast which was very sweet. The place was beautiful, welcoming, clean and the bed we slept on was by far the most comfortable we had been on our entire trip! We are already planning a return trip to Dublin next year and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks so much!
A little piece of heaven, a unique host and unforgettable memories. We can't dream better. For all those who look for lovely encounters, this place is for you.
The time we spent in Aine's house is one of my best memories of Dublin. Really pleasant and well-placed (especially for Penneys addicts !)you feel there like at home. Moreover, Aine is a very very very nice person :D So, now you know where you must go !
