I love London and have lived here for over 23 years. I am very happy to help in anyway, either before, or when you arrive. Just let me know what I can do to make your trip a good one!
Peter is a real nice guy, and his place is just as advertised. He went above and beyond to make sure we had some food when we got in, which was a huge help. There was a minor glitch during our stay, but Peter took care of everything right away and that is the most you can ever ask. I would look forward to staying with Peter again.
Location! Location! Location! This rental is a half block from two rail/tube stations on the border of London transportation zone 1. There are also many bus routes that have stops at the corner of the block. This gave us easy access to all of London and the central zone was mere minutes away. We never had any reason to hire a car or hail a cab. Grocery stores, restaurants and pubs were all within a five-minute walk.
The flat was perfect for our family of four with two bedrooms and especially with a washer and dryer in the unit. Towels, sheets, carpets, dishes, etc., were all clean upon arrival. The kitchen is small but is just what is needed for a quick breakfast or a hearty dinner. The dishwasher was an unexpected perk. WiFi was fast.
What a great host! Peter made our arrival to London and his flat so easy. He was in constant contact with us before and during our stay in London. He answered any question we had in minutes via text.
We will be definitely checking the availability of his flat for our next visit.
Shame we didn't get to meet Peter, but we met Marie and she was helpful
providing us with all the necessary information. Great location right by Earls
Court station. Comfortable flat for four with easy check in/out. Peter's place
is well organized and even had extra plug converters. Would stay here again.
Many thanks to Peter and Daniel for providing such a perfect accommodation.
We had a most enjoyable time at their flat and took advantage of its unbeatable location, right in the vicinity of major attractions and the underground station.
This flat is nicely furnished, sufficiently spacious (with a large closet) for my wife and myself and the kitchen equipped with everything we could have desired – the washer/drier unit is a real plus. On top of all, it was an amazingly quiet place.
Peter was also very helpful in advising us on how to get best to London City Airport.
Next time we are in London, we certainly would love to book with this flat again.
Impeccable apartment in the best of locations, I totally enjoyed every minute of my stay here & most highly recommend this choice if you are lucky enough to find it available.
We were received at the apartment by a very helpful Daniel. He explained every little things in the apartment to us.
The apartment is right between the main shopping belts and the tourist attractions. We walked to most of the destinations. We also walked to the Westminster Pier to take the boat to Greenwich. There are plenty of both high end dinning restaurants, cafes and supermarket around the apartment as well.
We have nothing but praise for Peter and his apartment! Everything was perfect, from Marie's warm welcome on Christmas Eve to the ease of check-out - "just leave the keys and close the door." The three flights of stairs were a challenge after a long day of sightseeing, but the reward at the top made it worthwhile. We appreciated the convenience of the nearby subway, market and delicious restaurants. We never had the pleasure of meeting Peter, but he quickly answered all our questions on line. Best vacation ever!
Stayed in Marble Arch 10 days over Christmas/New Year 2013/2014. Peter provided timely responses to all our communications – from the time of expressing interest to confirming the arrangements was less than 10 minutes! His e-mail manner was always welcoming, warm and humorous (where appropriate!). All arrangements were made easily and seamlessly. As advised by Peter, Marie was available to let us into the property at the agreed time. To accommodate our flight from Heathrow on the day of departure late check out was easily agreed to.
The apartment block is conveniently located within walking distance of many of London’s attractions and public transport. Peter’s flat is located at the rear of the block overlooking a shared garden with lots of trees. It’s a peaceful and quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of being a tourist in London. Peter’s flat has recently undergone some significant renovations with the reportedly small windows being replaced with double-glazed floor to ceiling windows and door. Not only did this keep the noise down (it was easy to forget we were in the middle of London) they let in lots of light and we found we didn’t really require much heating. The flat was light, warm and bright. The resident squirrels provided endless hours of entertainment – almost knocking at the door in the morning… be sure to have some nuts to feed them and entertain yourselves!
The kitchen is small (or as we finally agreed – there’s room for one person and an argument!) and equipped for two. All the mod cons are available – manuals for most appliances are in the cupboard though unfortunately there wasn’t one for the oven, which we couldn’t get working. Peter did offer prompt assistance with this.
If travelling to London again we would definitely look up this property.
Fiona and John
I loved this apartment. I felt posh in this area of town. The apartment is so clean, quiet!!! which is surprising as it is so close to everything that I needed (which is always a time saver and cab-£ saver).
The hosts took the time to welcome me personally, make check in easy and make the place homely. Highly recommended!
Response from Peter:
Hi jasmine. Thanks for the tip. I will get som coloured face cloths for this , good idea. Hope to see you again some time.
I didn't end up meeting Peter, but I met Daniel and he explained everything to me. The place is clean, small in comparison to North American standards, but more than enough. Green Park is super easy to get to, and Picadilly Circus is an easy walk. If you want some high end boutique shopping it is all around the area. Buckingham Palace is so close, I was surprised at how quick it was to get there, or Trafalgar. I actually spent my first 4 hours walking around the city. Down to Vauxhall and across to the Bridge and up through Picadilly Circus. The washer/dryer combo was easy enough to use, thanks for leaving the manual. The bed itself was amazing. I haven't slept that well in a very long time.
Peter was the perfect guest. They were great with communication and left the apartment very neat and clean. They are welcome back anytime!!
What a guy! Peter arrived with his friend John. I swear they left the place cleaner than it was before they came!. Polite and courteous, they will certainly be welcome again. Strangely, I thought I recognised Peter, turns out he had been interviewed the night before on BBC news. It was like having a celebrity in my house!
