I have an amazing live/work space that I actually work in and I'm looking forward to sharing my space with world travelers visiting NYC.
First of all: 5/5 stars for Ana! Unfortuntaely Ana was in Buenos Aires when we stayed at her place.
The place is VERY nice! Wooden floors, modern kitchen and a nice bathroom. Everything was completely clean and the bed was comfy! Although the weather was not perfect the rooftoop is great!
From the first second on, we fell in love with Williamsburg: Nice little shops, bars café all over the place.
It's a perfect place to stay - enjoy!
We only met Ana briefly, but her cat Edna is very pleasant company. They both live in a quite lovely studio apartment with pot plants and a surprisingly good kitchen (for nyc). The room is tiny and the bed on a rather airless mezzanine, so be prepared, claustophobics! Having said that it was very comfy bed, and there is a separate "sitting room" in which to escape the aggressive heating system. Ana's place is what she says it is: an artist's pad in very trendy Williamsburg, for better and for worse.
Fantastic location and lovely home. Ana was always helpful. We had a great stay!
great location, clean and tidy apartment, Anna leaves you your space to feel at home but friendly and helpful if you want some local info
My boyfriend and I stayed with Ana for 5 nights in late September-early October. It was our first time in New York and we loved how welcoming, clean and spacious Ana's place was. Her loft is in a funky part of Brooklyn, very convenient for travel into Manhattan, with lots of great vintage shops and bars & restaurants. Ana provided everything we could possibly require, including really useful maps & information about the local area and made us feel quite at home. The bed was comfy, the rooms were just the right temperature for a warm late September and we fell completely in love with Williamsburg and New York in general. We would not hesitate to recommend Ana's place to anyone travelling to New York, you could not ask for a nicer place to stay!
Thanks Ana, we hope to see you again one day.
Easy, clean and comfortable. If you want to be close to things in Williamsburg and just need a a place to sleep it's great. Thanks Ana.
Ana and her place was great. Easy going and awesome location. Close to 2 train lines to get around and most of what you need in short walking distance from her door. Probably had the best sleeps of our trip in her loft bed. And her rooftop was cool for eating breakfast or beers at night. Definitely recommended. Thanks.
quiet and cosy apartment, well lit, bright and airy with lovely plants and vintage furniture, and the rooftop is a great spot to hang out when the sun is shining! its in a perfect location on the south end of the main strip (bedofrd) in williamsburg so very near the action without being hectic or noisy. about a 5min walk from the subway which runs really frequently and goes all night so no problems getting out and about into manhattan very quickly. Great takeaway coffee shop (Oslo) nearby and convenience/grocery store across the road, a few laundromats a few blocks up that do laundry service that you can drop off & pick up the same evening, and close to great restaurants and bars (check out rabbithole-great brunch, the oyster bar for afternoon/evening drinks, and morgane-french style bistro for dinner). really comfortable loft bed and lovely private sitting room with wi-fi access included. i was staying for a week on my own and its a really safe area to be wandering around, even at night as it is on the main street and well lit and always people around. ana is a lovely host, she works alot though so you probably wont see her much. She has some great information that she has compiled and left in the sitting room for you to look at, with her recommendations for local restaurants, bars and things to do in williamsburg. she has a really cute cat, edna, who is home all the time and likes a little attention! would definitely stay again :)
Had a really awesome time staying in Williamsburg and Ana is an excellent hostess. Definately reccomend staying there to anybody.
An artist space with a lot of personality, at the heart of Williamsburg with all its restaurants, shops and vibrant energy, Ana's loft felt like the true Williamsburg experience.
On top of that, it's quiet, comfortable, clean and easily accessible.
In addition to a lovely apartment in a quaint area of the uber hip Williamsburg, Ana is a wonderful lady. Very fun, loads of good information about New York (she's one of the few true native New Yorkers). Especially great for artists visiting the city as she's got her finger on the pulse of the art world. You won't be disappointed. Apartment is especially great in warm weather as there's a roof-top patio with a great view of the Williamsburg Bridge.
This is a great place with a nice vibe. Ana's always cleaning so i'd be happy to stay over any time.
Ana has about everything. She is brilliant and witty, in that New York kind of way. She is dependable and honest. And she is a genuinely kind person, as her cat Edna will attest to.
If you really want to see and learn about hip NYC, you could not do better than to stay in Ana's insanely incredible loft, with views of the williamsburg bridge, art, cool neighborhood and easy transportation options at your fingertips. I attended high school with Ana and she is a true New Yorker, complely dialed-in to interesting scenes (and non-scenes) which you would never get to uncover staying at some DB hotel in SoHo or East Village :-)
I've rented from Ana off and on through the years and must say that her place is stunning. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. The location is perfect & it's set up well with all the proper amenities. A+++
You probably won't find a more real and easy-going person than Ana.
She's smart, funny, considerate, generous, and has a killer space to boot!
She belongs to that rare breed of native New Yorkers still living in New York, so for anything you need to know in or about New York, look no further.
Her place is calm, beautiful and atmospheric, in the greatest location in Williamsburg.
Three thumbs up for Ana!
