I am a writing teacher who loves boating, swimming, and beachcombing, gardening, contra dancing, traveling, reading. I also love stories. I was a dorm parent in boarding schools for almost twenty years, so I am very used to communal living. I have lived in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, and Pacific regions of the country. Now I have a happy home in Mystic with lots of artwork, driftwood furniture, and an outdoor claw-footed bathtub from which you can pluck and eat raspberries under the full moon, if you time your bubble bath correctly. My wonderful partner, Jack, whose passion is restoring vintage motorcycles (mostly motocross bikes)--and riding them, also shares my love of the water. Between us, we have four children and a fiance-- Matt, 29, Jordan Mary, 26 (with my soon-to-be son-in-law, Nick), and Maggie, 23, who are spread out between Stamford, CT and Bethesda, MD; and Abby, 17, a senior in high school in our hometown of West Springfield, MA. I've always had dogs and cats but am currently petless.
