Accueil minimaliste.
The location of the apartment is great - easy walk to plenty of restaurants and galleries. Arranging a time to get the keys to the apartment was easy. On the downside, we found the bed too short. I am 5'11" and my feet were hanging off the end of the bed making it uncomfortable. Also a bit of a small bed for two people to share...not much elbow room. We also found the bathroom a bit small... Which is normally not a probably but it felt too cluttered... If they removed the bidet (which I often wonder if anyone ever uses) it would be much more functional.
the apartment was smaller than we expected and harder to find than we thought it would be. Location was good as it's walking distance from good sights. Many restaurants nearby make it convenient for dining.
Grazie Patrizia & Francesca!!
I loved this apartment so much! Not so far from S.M. Novella station and a few steps from the Ponte Vecchio. Great location to explore the city of Florence. It was a little difficult to find the apartment number because nothing was on the buzzer but a person who helped with check in came right on time.
Patrizia's flat is in a fantastic location which meant we could walk to all the landmarks you'd like to see in Firenze, and we could easily pop 'home' if we needed to. It's cosy and has everything you'd need. Despite being just 3 mins walk from the Ponte Vecchio and another bridge closer, it was lovely and quiet too. A fab place to use as a base while visiting Florence. Thanks for a great stay!
Small studio located in the historical center near Ponte Vecchio / Piazza Santo Spirito / Pitti. The studio was very clean which we appreciated. It is ok for 2/3 nights. It may be noisy at night so you might need some earplugs. We asked several times on how to arrive to Firenze by car since the regulation is very strict and you get an automatic fine passed a certain area (in the center) except if you pay a private parking. We eventually got an answer from Eduardo to park in a private parking. We ended up doing that (about 70 euros for 48 hours). Make sure you check how to enter Firenze and where you can park! Eduardo's wife (friend of Patrizzia) welcomed us nicely and Eduardo was responsive and flexible with our arrival time (lots of traffic and difficulty to park). In the end, we had a nice stay but the price + parking was not cheap.
The appartment was in the heart of the ancient city behind palazzo vecchio.
Very small appartment and extreemly noisy, we didn't sleep for the hole time we were there, the air conditionning wasn't working and if you opened the windows you had da hundred people on the pavement outside the appartment screaming drinking and eating from antico vineo till 6am in the morning.
So the overall experience was bad.
Eduardo by the way was very nice.
Overall the stay in Villa July was good however after traveling the the south of France and the Amalfi coast our expectations of Capri were quite high.
Likes: The view is absolutely amazing! The sunrise and sunset is breathtaking. You are close to a supermarket and scooter rental. There is a lot of privacy and a nice trace where you could have your meals or just enjoy a nice cigar and a drink watching the wonderful view.
Dislikes: We were not too impressed being asked to pay for additional for internet and AC. I would gladly pay more for the room and have it included. The AC was only in one of the rooms therefore we had to sleep with the door open if we wanted our friends in the second room to benefit of the AC. The beach is not really within walking distance. And once you go down the cliff you are discouraged to walk back up, there is however a bus that could bring you back up. The house itself is not in the best of conditions. Main door is very hard to close the kitchen is functional however not very appealing to cook your food.
La casa di Patrizia è molto carina, posizionata in un punto centralissimo, raggiungibilissima a piedi dalla stazione, ma nello stesso tempo silenziosa e tranquilla. La casa è piccolina ma assolutamente completa di tutte le necessità. Il check in e check out molto semplice e veloce. La consiglio vivamente.
