Great appartment (exactly like the pictures) with a perfect location. Joaquin was very nice and a good host.
The reservation was canceled 114 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
El Born is a great area to stay in! The apartment is quite small and simple but fine for a few days enjoying the city, and Joaquin was really helpful.
Very nice place in the heart of Barcelona. Very authentic atmosphere outside and cozy apartment made our trip pleasant!
Sara and Joaquin are extremely nice and hospital <3 thank you for all!
My boyfriend and I had an amazing week long stay at this apartment. It was clean and just like you see in the pictures. Born ended up being our favorite neighborhood in the city with so many restaurants and bars to choose from. Joaquin was very welcoming and gave us good recommendations, we only wished we had asked earlier in the week! It can get noisy however so we didn't sleep with any windows open. We are fairly heavy sleepers but the neighbor above had his tv on loud a few nights so ear plugs may be good.
Joaquin's place is in a DREAM LOCATION. I never expected it to be so good, so when we got there and started exploring the gorgeous local streets, cafes and bars, we realised we had got lucky. Joaquin himself was super helpful, and even invited us into his bar which was around the corner from the apartment. The room is simple, pretty and has everything you need. We were hardly there though, we spent all our time exploring the beautiful city. Quick walk to the beach, quick walk to all the sights, quick walk to all the great restaurants (we want to keep them a secret). Each night back to the apartment, feeling like locals.... falling asleep to the sounds of a city still awake around us (yeah ok, it's a little noisy at times but hey, you're in Barcelona!)
If you are considering to stay here, I wouldn't hesitate. I loved it. We'll be back.
Everything you see in the recommendations is TRUE. We picked up the keys in Jaquin's Bar el Born which is 2 short blocks away (and has great MOJITO!). WiFi works great. The apartment is in an excellent location. You can walk easily to all that your heart desires...the beach (yes even in October the water is very warm and swimming is a pleasure), La Rambla, Born etc. The metro is a 2 minute walk (L3 line, Jaume stop). The apartment is clean and includes 2 small balconies...great place to drink your morning coffee and people watch. We would recommend to keep the balcony doors closed at night as the late night bar crowd and street cleaning makes a bit of noise but there is a fan in the flat that is very quiet and works great. Just keep the kitchen and bathroom windows open.Jaquin i svery approachable and gives great recommendations for restaurants/bars. Definitely go to La Paradeta (best seafood) and La Gambeta (best paella). Thank you again Jaquin and Sara. We will be back!!!
We had a fantastic stay at the studio apt in El Born. It's located in a corner flat on the second floor with great access to just about everywhere in Barcelona. Very clean and spacious with a small but ample kitchen that we used to cook using foodstuffs picked up at La Boqeuria. Joaquin gave us a list of restuarant recommendations as well, each of which met or exceeded our expectations. We would definitely return to the flat.
Communicating with Joaquin before our arrival was quick and efficient; he has a bar just around the corner where we met and then he took us to the flat. The flat is like in the pictures, clean and fresh, with everything you need, even coffee - very nice! The location is AAA, Born is THE place to be in Barcelona, and there are tonnes of good, trendy and interesting shops, bars, restaurants everywhere around you! Small 'supermarket' on the corner for drinks/breakfast stuffs etc. Or a dozen cafés if you're not into bread and cheese at home!
Joaquin was very accommodating and friendly, gave us tips of where to eat and what to do, when we caught ourselves in Barcelona on a big Catalonian holiday. He was super quick in rearranging his plans to accommodate when we decided to leave an hour earlier on our last day - he's a great host.
If you're a light sleeper, come prepared with earplugs. It's a pedestrian street - but this brings night revellers.
