I am originally from San Diego CA. My family and I have been living here in Tijuana, Baja California Mexico for 16 years. We have been living in this house for 5 years and this neighborhood for 11 years. It is a nice quiet neighborhood, with restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, parks, boutiques, family owned markets and many taco shops. Everything is within a 5 minute walk. There is a Walmart, Applebees, movie theater, bowling alley, dog track, lucha-libre wrestling arena, soccor (futbol) stadium all within 1 mile of the Hacienda.
The buses in the neighborhood are very in-expensive only 10m.n. (about .85 cents USD) and the nearest bus routes are in front of the house, which goes to the border, downtown and the beach and 2 blocks away where the bus goes through the zona rio to downtown to Francisco Villa (where they have a great street market every Sunday.)
On the USA side of the border is the San Diego Trolley which for $5 daily (or less for multi-day passes) will take you to the SD ZOO , Sea World, SD Convention Center, SD Cruiseship Port and many other San Diego Attractions. You can also connect with the SD Coaster and The Los Angeles Metro-Link to go anywhere throughout Southern California.
Please feel free to write or call anytime, I am always happy to answer any questions you have.
