We are a couple living in idyllic Central Hawkes Bay. Marty works on the surrounding farms and is a jack of all trades, Kerry works as a NZ sign language interpreter in the Manawatu and Hawkes Bay regions.

This place is piece of heaven...view from the garden on the valley is amazing, like a painting. Kerry was amazing host, so sweet, she even walk us true the farm and introduce us with all the animals. Our 3 years old son was delighted, he did't want to leave. Highly recommend!
Kerry and Marty were amazing hosts. They were very friendly, helpful and made us feel at home. We were the very lucky recipients of yummy choc and raspberry muffins and scrambled eggs for breakfast. They also made us delicious pumpkin soup with home made bread for lunch on one of our busy days there to make sure we were fed. Like others have commented it was like staying with friends. The house and the grounds are beautiful and we got a chance to take a tour with Kerry to feed the animals. Mono the dog was a softy and a delight to have around also. All in all we loved our stay at Kerry and Marty's B&B.
Kerry and Marty were extremely accommodating, considerate, and helpful hosts. They went out of their way to make us comfortable, and we felt like we were staying with friends. The garden and animals were so beautiful...Also the food was delicious; the eggs Marty made were absolutely legendary!
We had a wonderful time at this bnb. Kerry and Marty were warm, generous and thoughtful hosts, and also prepared us a delicious and wholesome meal. The farm is as charming as the photographs on the listing suggest; and they went out of their way to show us around. Our daughter loved the animals, especially the pigs, and we love what they are doing there rehoming animals. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and I have nothing negative to say at all. We would definitely recommend this bnb to others!

I wish I could have spent more time at Kerry and Marty's place - such a cool spot out in the countryside! They were amazing hosts too, so friendly and really welcoming - they even cooked dinner!
The house itself is everything promised in the photos and heaps more... friendly animals (pigs!!), breathtaking views across the valley and a super comfy bed... what more could you need? I'll definitely be back!
Great hosts and lovely food. If your heading north from Wellington and need a place to stay that's peaceful and a great country experience then this is for you. The pet pigs, dog, sheep and horses plus ducks were fun to see in the morning too.
Good stories kept us entertained and there is no BYO charge for corkage haha!
To be honest I'm not even sure where to begin with this amazing experience. The farm house is a getaway dream. So peaceful and quiet. Yes, a tad out of the way but I would make the trek back in a heartbeat. The room and bed were super comfortable. But really, its the hosts, Kerry and Marty (along with Mono the lab and Barry the lamb) that make this such a memorable experience. To be honest, I was quite sad to leave as it felt I was leaving old friends!
What a fabulous experience! We regret only having booked 2 nights with Kerry and Marty.
Our boys (2and 5 year old) had a blast. They were busy bottle feeding the baby lamb, playing with the friendly dog and checking on the pigs, geese and horses, collecting firewood for the BBQ in the evening and playing at the swing below the garden tree.
The place has a huge gorgeous garden which settles in beautifully in the serene lush and green surrounding hills.
We loved their home made breakfast muesli and home made marmalade.
Kerry was not around but Marty was the perfect host. Thank you so much.
We stayed one night to break up the drive from Lake Taupo to Wellington, but really this would be a relaxing spot to spend a day. The property was beautiful in early spring, so I can only imagine how gorgeous it must be in summer.
Thank's to Kerry and Marty to have been such as nice guest. Look forward to have you here again.
Kerry and Anna were great guests. They are friendly and talkative so my first rental was a nice experience.
Kerry travelled with her mum and they were super nice guests! they shared enthousissm and ideas with me and my family, and brought to our home a bit of Kiwi culture. Thank you Kerry!
Very friendly and enthusiast people. They appreciate god food and it's been a good experience to have them as guest. A big hug and one day I wish to meet you again in new zeland.
It was a real pleasure to host Kerry and her mother Anna during their vacations in Europe. They were our first guests coming via the AirBnB website ;-)
Both are very familiar with guest houses, being hosts themselves on AirBnB. They love the concept and they are very easy to communicate with. Since we exchanged quite a few message before they came, I felt I felt I knew them already :D
Although they were able to stay only one night, we had some nice discussions and I learned more about New Zealand, a country where I would love to go visit some day...
Kerry and Anna are great, funny, very friendly and so genuine it was like having friends staying at home. I enjoyed their company so much I already miss them. Highly recommended as guests.
Delightful people. Lovely relaxed and open friendliness that New Zealanders are supposed to have.
