My wife and I have been described as global gypsies, having lived and travelled extensively around the globe. Professionally, I have long experience of and affection for emerging economies, in which I have lived, invested and done business.
Personally, travelling is an enriching priority for our family, and we have met and made many good friends across the globe. We tend to target a country and then cover the ground rather fast, typically staying no more than two-three nights in one place - however we often go back to the same country, re-exploring and re-discovering.
I currently advise young companies in the UK, Switzerland and France on growth strategies and operations; also sit on corporate and non-profit Boards. My wife established and runs a corporate university. Our children are at school and university.
Although it may sound a bit corny, the notion of lifelong learning is strong for us all - probably the closest thing to a motto, along with a strong focus on values and human dignity.
