Great apartment, great location and a great hostess. Julie was very accommodating even though my flight got into town quite late. Before arrival she provided me with a great list of local restaurants and made sure to let me know if I needed anything she was available to help. As others have said, the shower is a little bit intense but that's minor and of course you can turn it down. Highly recommended spot that gets you right in the middle of all the Portland action.
First of all, this place is such a gem!
Smack dab in SE Portland, we were minutes away from so many fun things (cheap movie theaters, delicious restaurants, cute shops, bowling and ping pong) and a short drive over to downtown. It is a short walk to the grocery store to have some food on hand (maybe for a lazy morning before going out?).
And the studio itself is so darn cute. Style for days!
Julie made our stay so easy and was incredibly nice and helpful when we got into town.
I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to go back.
We had a great stay at Julie's little vintage studio. It was perfect girl time for me & my daughter. It felt really roomy for being a studio and had a sweet little kitchen and a great bathtub. The location was primo to everything we could want: food, coffee, restaurants, gourmet grocery, bus lines, parking, more coffee...and Julie was very accommodating in making our visit happen even though we planned it pretty last minute. Thank you, Julie! We also loved all your little vintage tea cups and tea pots . All in all, a great stay!!
Julie was very accommodating and the apartment was exactly as described. The space was very comfortable, and despite being one of many apartments in the building it was surprisingly quiet. I would definitely stay again.
I really loved staying at Julie's place. It's welcoming, spacious, and in a great location. I say this because it is right next to Laurelhurst Park, which is one of my favorite places to be. Beyond that, the Belmont area has access to everything you need on Hawthorne and Division. Julie was very accommodating even though I booked it just the night before and asked to expand my stay afterwards. You should stay at Julie's and make sure you take a trip through the park!
Julie was absolutely wonderful! She was so friendly and gave us great tips about the neighborhood. We really enjoyed staying in her lovely condo!
This place is really perfect. Bus stop(to down town) takes only within 2min & nice restaurant, cafe, market nearby.
Also julie is good host~( thankyou^^) The town is very safty, calm(even at night). During I staying everything was (website hidden) was really nice place~!!
This is a charming space! It is cozy without feeling cramped and very well appointed. The hot water and water pressure in the shower are excellent (a minor but important detail, i feel). The location is also very convenient to many of Portland's attractions. Although there was a problem with the call-box at the front door, Julie was very communicative and helpful. This minor catch did not mar the experience. In short I would highly recommend booking this space.
Place was great and easy! Cute like the pics- easy to book and stay
We just spent our second visit at Julie's vintage Belmont studio. We had some travel delays so had to check in late but Julie kindly accommodated us. One of the weeks we were there it got very cold out, but the apartment stayed very cozy and warm (and Julie checked in with me to make sure I was warm). We stayed longer this time and the only improvement we can think of is that there isn't a chair in the apartment comfortable enough to spend some time with a book. At this point there are just kitchen table chairs. But honestly, that is the only thing we would change. The shower is glorious….I hate those puny showers and this one has lots of pressure. The sweet little kitchen is well appointed and a great place to spend time sipping coffee/tea and catching up on emails. We are used to a king bed and thought this one would be too small but we both remarked how comfortable it was and how we slept all the way through the night….something that doesn't happen often enough for both of us. I took several walks and found cute shops, bars and restaurants in every direction. Oh, and our new grandson lives RIGHT across the street….bonus!! We will definitely look forward to renting from Julie again in the future.
Julie is lovely! I had the pleasure of spending time her during my spur of the moment visit to Portland. She gave a list of places to visit including lots of wonderful vintage shops, a beautiful rose garden and the greatest Portland restaurants. Julie's charismatic personality makes her become friends with anyone who meets her!
The condo itself is very charming. The neighborhood feels safe and public transportation is easily accessible! I will be recommending this place to anyone visiting Portland. I cannot wait to go back!
I have stayed at Julie's condo twice, each time for a week. It has to be my favorite place to stay when I travel. The place is beautifully decorated and very comfy. It's very well maintained and always clean and tidy. The location is great, there are several places to eat and drink in the neighborhood, as well as a well stocked market (similar to whole foods) all within walking distance. If you want to venture into the city center, it's just a quick drive away, and easy to get to. Julie is a fantastic host, always willing to recommend places to eat, and things to do, she's a Portlandia expert for sure. I have to say she is very accommodating as well, both times I've visited, I have arrived very late (after 11 pm) and she was there waiting for me (once in the freezing rain) and with a smile on her face. I could go on and on about how much I love the place, but I'll just say there is no place I plan on staying while in Portland other than this one.
Julie is a wonderful friend! We bonded over a mutual love of vintage sewing patterns and antique shopping, but have had many other great conversations and experiences along the way. She was kind enough to let me sublet her beautiful studio apartment and I loved every minute of it. Her studio is spacious, saturated by natural light, comfortable and just perfect for anyone wanting a great spot in Portland. The apartment has an adorable kitchen with great details like vintage dishware and is fully stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, etc. The bathroom is lovely; I enjoyed the amazing water pressure and extra tall shower head. I even indulged in a few baths during my stay. The building is quiet and the neighbors are very respectful. Also, the location is awesome: it's only a few blocks from some of the best bars (my favorite: The Sweet Hereafter), restaurants (Mai Thai!), and on a very convenient bus line that can get you just about anywhere. I can't say enough good things about this spot--I truly never wanted to leave! Thanks, Julie, for being so rad!
We have rented from Julie for the last couple of months, and she has been a pleasure to work with. There have been no problems, but I felt if there were, they would be immediately resolved. The condo is charming and in a fabulous part of town. Easy walk to everything we need. The neighborhood is wonderful, as are the neighbors in the building.
