Ich bin eine nette und aufgeschlossene Berlinerin und freue mich stets über ebenfalls nette und aufgeschlossene Gäste aus der ganzen Welt.
We were a party of three staying at Barbara's place, the apartment is more than big enough for three persons. The location is great: close to public transport and a lot to visit within walking distance. The apartment is very quiet.
The apartment is in the perfect location in Kreuzberg and we were very happy we chose it. It was our first time in Berlin and we would certainly rent this same apartment again next time! It is incredibly close to nightlife, as well as daytime activities and parks; near the busy streets but the block itself is very quiet and peaceful. Close to both the U and S-Bahns which are essential for getting around the city. Just be sure to validate your tickets after purchasing them!
No problems at all, very pleasant experience and a very easy time getting the keys.
-DEFINITELY check out Konrad Tonz bar on Falckensteinstraße. Straight out of the 70s and cozy, great vibes, super nice bartenders. Great martinis!
-Avoid Amar at Falckensteinstraße and Schlesische Straße. It is always packed with people but the food is not authentic and a total letdown if you are searching for quality Indian food.
-Ä bar in Neukolin is has a great atmosphere, get there on the early because the tables fill up.
-Order and XPA fromn Bierkombinat on Manteuffelstrasse, the only bar serving a real American Style IPA.
-Check out the flea markets throughout the city, especially the one at Arena on Sundays. It is massive and the perfect place to find souvenirs for friends and family.
-Visiting Teufelsberg is a MUST, the old Allies spy tower from the war-times. Look up some history about it and bring an instrument if you are a musician. The highest dome on the grounds has the most amazing acoustics I've ever experienced!
In May 2013, we spent 10 days in Barbara's flat, a lovely place in an excellent location in Berlin. She is courteous and offer a very well equipped flat, with both confortable bad and sofa and a very good kitchen. Seven minutes walking to metro sation and you have Berlin. Enjoy it!
Barbara's place is amazing, really well situated, in a calm street near the canal but really in the middle of kreuzberg hotspots. The house was clean and cozy, had everything we needed. Barbara was available and friendly. We will come back!
We had a great time in Berlin at Barbara's place. The place is really quiet, yet you're in the middle of it all, only 5 minutes from Oranienstrasse. We walked everywhere from her place. The apartment is well equipped and super cozy and the neighborhood has lots of shops, restaurants, and an amazing bakery: (website hidden). You get a nice view of the green courtyard from the bedroom and a street view from the balcony. I would definitely recommend staying here!
