The house was relatively clean! Has almost all the amenities that we needed. Furthermore, the apartment was just a stone throw away from the subway station, which makes travelling relatively convenient. Ryan was very helpful too!
The apartment was a fine home base for our first trip to the city as a family of four. It is indeed spacious, very clean, and the location is great--convenient to the subway and near plenty of food options, but with manageable on-street parking and a somewhat more relaxed vibe than might be the case in other parts of Manhattan. The furnishings are minimal but handsome and functional, and the beautifully framed posters in the bedrooms are a nice touch. There is no coffee maker in the apartment, which for us, is a minimal requirement--so much so that we didn't even think to check into it in advance, we just presumed it would be there. If we had known, we could have brought a french press. But with two little kids, going out to hunt down the first coffee of the morning is really inconvenient--it's much better to have it in the kitchen. I expected the neighborhood to be a bit quieter than it was--there was a group of guys on the front stoop who played very loud music until around midnight both nights we stayed, and since our windows were open, the noise was somewhat disruptive. If we weren't traveling with our kids, maybe noise until midnight wouldn't seem like a big deal--and really, in the greater scheme of things, it's not a huge deal--but I was not expecting it to be that loud. When the music stopped, things really did get pretty peaceful, and during the day on Sunday all was quite hushed. In all, it seems like a good building for bringing the kids along--there are families around, and nobody seemed to think our traveling family circus was anything out of the ordinary.
I enjoyed my very short stay at Ryan's very much (one night). His flat is really pretty and very clean (looks just as nice as on the pictures). Ryan is a really friendly and helpful host and great to talk to.
Ryan was a great host. He was very friendly and accommodating. He made us the best Manhattan cocktail in town.
Ryan is the best house host ever. He even gave me directions to NYC destinations that I needed to travel to. I will definitely be back !!!
The apartment is a great place to stay and close to the subway. We didn't have any problems and would definitely stay there again.
Très bonne accueil description parfaite grâce aux photos et accès rapide au coeur de Manhattan grâce au métro A C 1!!
Those Five days in New York were incredible!
Special thanks to Ryan who is a really great host, with the kindness to try to undestand our so poor english! His place is perfect.
Dear Ryan, I love the way you décorate the room.
See you maybe one day in Paris!
Ryan is truly an awesome host. His house was very clean and he is very kind and respectful. He helped us in many ways and I wish to thank him here one more time for his kind help. I wish I knew someone like him in every city.
Ryan was helpful and friendly. Location is great. There is a free street parking available in front of the building. At first it seems unsafe surrounding but it is not. On weekends it is a little bit noisy. Sofa bed is comfortable and soft. 3-4 minutes away from subway station and it takes about 25-30 minutes to get to Times Square. If I come again definitely will stay at his place.
Ryan and Amanda were wonderful to hostess. Very attentive parents to their puppy. Enjoyed conversation and getting to know them a little before their ventures carried them off. Would definately recommend them to any host and am happy to know that they have a bnb in NYC!
Ryan is awesome: he's hilarious, thoughtful and respectful. I have no doubt he'd make a great host.
