Welcome to Argentina .
We stayed three months in Ignacios Apartment and had a very good time. For us, working and having two kids it was a real good choice - the apartment is centrally located, you can reach everything very easily, Parque Lezama is right next door (important for the children!) and 50 meters down the street there are a couple of nice restaurants. The flat is on two floors, living room and kitchen upstairs, sleeping and bathrooms on the larger lower floor, which is a little dark since it's souterrain, but we mainly used it for sleeping. The pool on top of the house was great - it was up to 40 degrees Celsius in Buenos Aires during our stay- and it has a nice surround view on Buenos Aires. Last but not least: the people working with Ignacio are very nice and helpful!
Great apartment, great stay in Buenos Aires! I wish we were still there on vacation. We have absolutely no complaints and highly recommend our host and his apartment. The apartment is comfortable and the internet and everything else always worked well. Buenos Aires is a treat and San Telmo was a great part of town to be in.
Igancio's apartment is within two blocks of several wonderful restaurants and bars, a fine helado store, a terrific tango club, and the best park in Buenos Aires in San Telmo, the most wonderful area of the city. The ecologica reserva is within walking distance and much closer--but far enough away not to intrude!--is the famed and crazy on Sundays Plaza Dorego. The apartment itself is spacious and full of the charm of old world Argentina: high, high ceilings, gorgeous woodwork and a lovely entrance. We had a truly wonderful, unforgettable and LONG stay!
The host canceled my reservation 137 days before arrival.
Staying at Ignacio's apartment was wonderful - it was a home away from home for us where my son and I enjoyed a family reunion with my daughter who is studying at Palmero University. We were met by the lovely Maria, Ignacio's mother, and shown through the gracious old apartment in historic San Telmo. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable with every appliance and item needed; it is very secure. We enjoyed the beautiful antique furniture, the finches chirping in the courtyard and the tropical fish cleverly cared for with a timed feeder and lights. The maid came twice during our stay, providing discrete and caring service.
The location of Ignacio's apartment on the corner of Caseros and Bolivar is very convenient - as one of the few two-way streets in Buenos Aires you can easily flag down a radio cab to go in either direction. It is close to the centre of San Telmo and we walked to the famous weekend markets, souvenir, antique and designer shops that are competitively priced. There are three excellent restaurants a few steps down on Caseros making delicious early coffee/breakfast or late night Nuevo Argentine cuisine and Argentine wines readily available.
I am very happy to recommend this beautiful apartment.
