I'm an urban, artistic soul, with a passion for music, art & culture,
communication, people, good food and wine, travel, and all that makes life worth living.
Living in such an attractive area with room to spare I started taking in guests several years ago through my own network. Mostly artists working on projects here in town. Word spread around and after only a year of hosting with airbnb my listings were top-rated, and I've really enjoyed meeting so many different and interesting people from all around the world, some of which I think of as new friends.
Understand that I don't host for profit, nor do I pimp other peoples property.
It's solely a means to fill some gaps as unique spaces like mine are quite costly.
Especially during wintertime when guests are scarce.
I've moved about and travelled alot my entire life, and started inter-rail backpacking 6 weeks every summer at age 16. These days, I don't quite rough it as I did back then, I suppose you get comfortable with age ;)
So being an experianced traveller myself I think I know what's key for guests choosing to stay in a private home.
I make a serious effort to insure all my guests are comfortable and happy.
It's a more personal yet peacefull alternative to a hotell room in a relaxed environment, and I'm proud to have guest-books with many compliments and lots of fine reviews on my page.
In fact, the only critique I've found comes from guests who've refused to read the details as well as my messages to them.
So please make an informed reservation, I want you to be satified!
Also, when you put in a request, I'd be very gratefull for information about yourself and the purpose of your stay.
PLEASE NOTE : I can only offer what I have. So if you can't imagine sharing a shower, please don't make an inquiry: get a rental-flat or book a hotellroom. I have a constant stream of guests who all seem to enjoy staying here, and please understand: this is my home.
I am neither retired, on vacation nor a housewife, and expect my guests to be reasonably independant and capable travellers.
Please be considerate about any shared areas inside the flat and building.
My home is a bit anachronistic, no flatscreen TVs, jacuzzis or trendy departmentstore decor. It's a very old building with a different charm and ecclectic mix.
If there's anything at all you need, just let me know!
Renting with me, is not a dumpy hostell, staffed hotell, nor a sublet.
I do all the cleaning and laundry myself, as well as shopping and breakfastpreparations etc.
So it involves work on my behalf.
And I'm availble most of the time, not merely by email.
But please note: I will not turn down the bed for you or clean your room daily.
Fresh linnen and cleaning is provided every 5 or 6 days should you stay longer than that.
The big kitchen is generally not shared for all meals with guests, exept for the listing of the 3 room suite.
But all guests are wellcome to have breakfast there, and there's a table in each private area, so you can of course get local take-out and enjoy it there if you like.
As my guest, you'll have privacy and comfort in a unique building with a great view, including halfpension and one cooked and served special breakfast if you like. Relaxed atmosphere and all the inside info about Stockholm you could possibly want, included.
I'm happy to provide any tips about good restaurants, nightlife, sights, shopping, culture, transportation and how to avoid the turist traps, just ask! ;)
(if you plan on staying for a long period, and prefer buying all supplies yourself, just make sure to ask when you make your inquiry and I'll give you an offer.)
Above all I hope to wellcome you to my little corner of the world!
