For the most part I found the apartment to have been well represented in the description and photos. It was adequate for my needs as a single guy staying in Florence for several weeks, and working from home. A couple could live there in relative comfort, however it would get quite cramped with more than two people for longer stays. The owners Daniela and Giorgio live just across the hall and were very courteous and helpful. Being that there is no laundry in the unit, they were happy to do a load for me whenever necessary. My main criticism would be that the street below is noisy at all hours. However on the flip side, the unit is very centrally located, with everything one might want or need close at hand. You can't miss All'Antico Vinaio for an excellent focaccia, and be sure to look in at Angie's Pub, just down the street. Great atmosphere. Overall, I enjoyed my time in Via Dei Neri.
The apartment is exactly like in the description. I stayed there for over 1 month, and I just loved it. It's very well placed, right in the center of everything. The restaurant downstairs on the opposite side of the street is very good, so if you get suddenly hungry, you even don't have to go to far ;) I was a bit scared at the beginning of the 5 floors without elevator, but it's like on the 3rd, so it wasn't a problem. The bedroom is very comfortable, and has a lot of storage place. This is definitely a place I'd like to stay in, the next time I'll be in Florence.
Christine had been wonderful to communicate with through out the reservation process. She was very prompt in her replies and answered my very many questions as I was trying to find the perfect place which was also near my apartment for my mom's one month visit here.
Unfortunately, because she is not the owner of the apartment, there was definitely a few things missing due to her lack of presence, which I'm sure Christine would have been on top if she was the owner.
I don't believe the owner was very well prepared for our stay, as there was still laundry hanging in the apartment, the shower door was missing, which the owner had said she would get fixed but then never showed up again, and there were a lot of the owner's personal things scattered around the apartment, which made us feel like we were a guest in someone else's home. I was also disappointed that I wasn't able to come take a look at the place before my mom arrived as I was a little worried about the stairs and the loft for a 65 year old woman, and I only lived down the street so I would have been available at any time. There was however a man living in front of our apartment who was very helpful, who had let us into the apartment, changed our light bulbs and provided us with information and any help that we needed.
If the owner had put in as much attention as Christine did, then we would have certainly had a wonderful stay. I was certainly very disappointed by the lack of care by the owner. It is fine to have an agent help you rent out our your apartment, but then the owner should certainly have the apartment in tip top shape when we arrive.
I understand that Christine was out of town for personal reasons, but if she was here to check on all conditions, I'm sure everything would have been perfect!
However, for the condition it was in this time and considering the size of the place, and as someone who does live here in Florence, I feel the monthly was a little overpriced and I hope to find another place for my mother the next time she is here.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
I stayed at via dei Neiri during 5 weeks : very convenient and lovely place, as it was showed on the photos. The localisation is ideal for one who wants to enjoy Florence...
A small apartment with everything needed for a stay in Florence. Situated in the center of Florence, it is walking distance (maximum 15 min) to everything.
Our group of 4 stayed here in October 2012. The apartment is very, very convenient in the heart of Florence on Piazza Signoria, looking south toward the entrance of the Palazzo Vecchio -- great for location but bad for noise (as in, there are young people yelling and carousing most of the night). The apartment is actually managed by "Apartments Florence;" our contact answered the phone promptly, was there for check-in and knew the apartment well, and had a bottle of wine for us for check-in. The place itself has up to 2 large BR's, 1 with a king bed and 1 with 2 sofa beds. For a group of 2, the 2nd BR could be a living room. There is also a small sitting area next to the kitchen. Overall the location is unbeatable, (with the drawback of noise) the value is pretty good, and the place is well-managed and nicely furnished.
The apartment was very nice and in a great location. The host was very nice and helpful and even provided a compilmentary bottle of wine. Overall, this was a very nice stay.
Absolutely gorgeous apartment! Convenient, but quiet location close to all amenities. Plenty of room for a family of five adults. WIFI available but not very good. In particular, the terrace was wonderful. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay in Florence. The apartment was located within walking distance to the main train station and right in the heart of Florence historic sites, museums and cathedrals. It was clean and had quality modern fittings and bathrooms.
The apartment was on the 4th floor with no elevator so if you are carrying heavy bags you will need help. Fortunately the host met us at the apartment and carried our heaviest bag.
Whilst conveniently located the apartment was quiet with double glazed windows so no street noise!
The apartment is within walking distance to many many restaurants and the markets were within 50m. The host was excellent, easy going and treated us with respect.
Pro's Plenty of room for us quality fittings, great location, excellent appliances, air conditioned, quiet. Cons, Nothing of significance.
Well suited to us as 2 married couples traveling.
It was a pleasure to have Christine and Antonio as guests and since she is an airbnb host as well we got to talk some shop!
They are very nice people and also very clean. They treated my place as if it was their own!.
Thank you for your stay and you're very welcome to come back.
All the best you two!
Christine is a great manager of the properties that she rents for the rental agency with whom she works.
Doing business with her is a very pleasing and relaxing experience. She is very meticulous and takes care of small details always with a wonderful smile on her face.
In other words, her support will make the difference of your staying in Florence!!
Besides the fact that Christine is a friend, I've also rented 3 apartments from her. I trust her completely. The most recent that I rented for my family when they visited in March 2012 was in Via dei Pecori. It was a stunning apartment, perfect for a family of 4. And Christine could not have been more helpful in the entire process, from the rental stage to the dropping off of the keys, etc. She is fantastic at her job, and I recommend renting from her to anyone!
I have known Christine for two years now - since we met in 2010 in Florence, Italy. I know Christine both professionally and personally and can't say enough good things about her. She is extremely professional and pays close attention to detail and customer service. Personally she is great company, very outgoing and always has a smile on her face. Christine is fantastic and can undoubtedly make your experience easy and enjoyable.
