Michael's place has a little things to improve, the chalet is great located near By the bus station that takes you to downtown, we recommend the place if the stay is no longer that two days
The listing description and photos of the room was accurate, but be aware that the deck is not easily accessible or adjacent to the room so I wouldn't consider it as an extension of your room space. The room was clean and comfortable, but the biggest drawback was the lack of reliable internet service. It was a big barrier to staying connecting and enjoying any streaming options.
Michael advice on the area was spot and the chalet was so nice and comfortable!
Good for a brief stay as it is one room with fridge, toaster, coffee pot, microwave, wash dishes in bathroom sink. Excellent location. Michael's mother was available with any requests as she lives above. Wifi seemed to work reasonably well - especially if you were on the bed vs at the table. Change of towels was appreciated (we were there for 9 days but were quite sick with a cold.) good value. Our daughter's family stayed at a small cabin quite close that Michael also rents.
Michael had let me know in advance that he wouldn't be around at the time of our stay, but everything was ready and left for us as described. His cottage is comfortable, clean, and cozy. The location is perfect! We walked all around the area, loving the waterfront and James Bay neighborhood. Thanks for the reasonably priced and comfortable stay!
Host Michael was obliging and helpful with local knowledge and directions. The chalet is located in an interesting older area of Victoria with lots of good walking or cycling routes along the waterfront. A highlite is enjoying the sunsets from Ogden Point Breakwater a few blocks away. A scenic walk along the inner harbour takes you in past the Legislature, Empress Hotel and in to Victoria's heritage downtown. The chalet is a private urban getaway.
I had an enjoyable stay at this nice suite by the wharf. The suite was clean and quiet and very convenient if you like a nice walk to the city. I would recommend his spot for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay.
The room was very quaint and just a short walk to the downtown area. The "entire home/apt" classification is a bit misleading - it was essentially just a room with no kitchen (though there was a microwave and coffee machine). Our biggest complaints would be that the wifi did not reach us most of the time, and the bathroom door was broken (and not really much of a door to begin with...) For the price, it was great, though. We really enjoyed our stay overall.
We had a very nice stay at the Seaside Nook. A pretty close walk to downtown, and very close to Victoria's iconic pier. Marie, Michael's mother, welcomed us and it was very easy to check in and out as she is right next door. Neither my boyfriend or I could get the internet to work on our phones or iPad, which wasn't too much a problem for us but something to keep in mind if you need to depend on it. The "kitchen" was stocked with tea, coffee, a coffee maker, toaster and fridge which we really appreciated during our two night stay!
Overall, a very worthwhile stay. We would stay here again!
Michael and his family were great people, and great guests. They stayed during a month, so they had time to deeply discover Nerja and to enjoy the nice weather for this season! Without any doubt, I would host them again! =)
I havent met Michael and his family cause they were a bit late but they were respectfull of the property and everything went realy good. We had a great comunication and i would love to have them again.

After them you are happy to be engaged in this job.
Michael and Yuke were really nice people and the first airbnb guests I got to know, a great pleasure hosting them and apartment left in perfect condition. I would definately recomend for other hosts!
John was a great young man , I was very surprised by his life experience.. good job Michael
Thanks Ali. We've tried hard to make travel and exploration the focal point of our lives. Hope to see you in Oman later this year. Michael
What a joy it’s been hosting Michael, Yuki and Tiger for this past month. I’ve had some wonderful AirBnB guests in the past and didn’t think it could get any better; but this trio proved me wrong. Some of the words that come to mind in describing them are warm, intelligent, personable, outgoing, fun-loving, adventurous, generous, considerate — I could go on but might need a thesaurus. Although I was definitely sorry to see them go, I feel like my husband and I have made some lifelong friends. We hope to visit them in Canada one day and look forward to their possible stay here again next year. And I must mention their remarkable and adorable son Tiger (yes, that’s his real name). Here’s a lively, outgoing and engaging youngster who is smart beyond his six years, funny, talkative, prone to stream- of- consciousness monologues that take you on an amazing ride — a challenge to keep up with but worth the effort. Tiger loves to read, will teach you Japanese, explain the American Civil War to you, tell you all you’ve ever wanted to know about robots and Japanese cartoon characters, among other subjects, and will walk you dog should you have one. But what’s also special about him is that he is very polite, well-behaved, and considerate. ”Yes. please” and “thank you” come easily to him and just a few days ago he once again told me how much he had appreciated and enjoyed the bowl of fruit I had put in their kitchen when they first arrived. Michael, Yuki and Tiger fit right into our neighborhood and every day they were out riding their bicycles and taking full advantage of all the activities here in San Diego. Their energy and spirit was inspiring. Do I need to say that you will be very lucky to host this Canadian family?
Michael and his son John were great houseguests. I was gone on vacation during their stay but my house-sitter Rich enjoyed hosting them, and we'd be happy to have them again any time!
Michael & his son left my space clean and in good order. I recommend them to all of Airbnb.
Michael and John are delightful! I spent time talking to them about their travels and introducing them to my family and friends. Michael shared his around-the-world website resources with me and both Father and son are respectful, quiet and friendly. You can't go wrong having them as visitors!
