Get immersed in culture, going to the beach and have fun :)
The house is certainly new, and it is in Valletta surrounded by charming old buildings, rather than the concrete that the rest of Malta seems to be made of. Right outside the door is a café owned by the same family, with a terrace overlooking the habour. A quite extraordinary view.
The price is right and all appliances are in working order and new. The only detraction is that it is situated on the ground floor with only a single window in the entire flat and this makes it a bit gloomy and inhibits airflow to the bathroom and kitchen. The small room in between those two rooms, where the washing machine is, smells positively mouldy. An airduct would probably be a good idea.
The family administrating it is sweet and helpful.
This is a wonderful apartment from which to enjoy your visit to Valletta and Malta! Is is spotlessly clean, artistically decorated in new condition. We stayed 2 weeks and found all our needs satisfied. They have thought of everything: staples in the kitchen ,linens, tape, even a sewing kit and shopping bags. The bed is really comfortable--it was the one reason I hesitated l on this rental, but my fears were unfounded. The WiFi is reliable and with the air conditioning, much appreciated. Markets for meat and groceries, and produce are nearby. Next door is a cafe where you can eat informally, adjacent to the beautiful Lower Barrakka Gardens from which you can watch the boat traffic in the Grand Harbor. Central Valletta (5 min) and the bus terminal (15 min) are within walking distance, or the local Valletta minibus stops within a half block. Paul Dingli introduced us to the apartment and emphasized to call him if we needed anything; and at the end, he offered to drive us to the airport. It is typical of Maltese hospitality. What more could you want?? We highly recommend!
This is a lovely little apartment in the center of Valletta. The check-in process was smooth and we were provided with some brochures for sightseeing. The pull-out bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well supplied.
If you want to explore the islands, it is a perfect place to start from as the bus station is very close.
I would just recommend this apartment.
Alexiei's father, Paul, handled all communication and was great, helped us finding him and the place, gave us all information we asked and was really nice.
The apartment is very well located, spacey and in fantastic condition. It has A/C which was a blessing with the blazing heat outside in the Summer.
The flat is really comfortable and cool. The photos show how lovely the flat is but don't do justice to how spacious it is too. It's in a fantastic location, close to the main sights in Valletta and only a 15 min walk from the bus terminal, which takes you all over the island. Alexei's father was very friendly and helpful and provided us with lots of information about the city. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone!
Absolutely perfect apartments near very beautiful garden. Quite close to the bus station, thus it was very very convinient to travel around the island by bus. It is a good value for money!
Alexiei's father was there to meet us when we arrived and show us the apartment. He was very helpful and nice. The apartment was in an ideal location right near the water and close to everything. We would happily stay there again.
It was the great place to stay in Malta. It is situated in a very convienent place to reach every interesting place in Malta. I am thankful for a really nice flat which imo has deserved the highest rates. I highly recommend everyone to stay at this place who plans go to Malta.
The apartment is excellently located in a quiet area away from the bulk of the tourists but only a few blocks' walk to the main sights of Valletta. The apartment had everything I needed. The hosts (Alexiei's dad, in my case) are kind and easily available nearby; a corner store was also a few doors down for cheap groceries. One warning: there isn't much ventilation, so if you do laundry, prepare for things to remain damp even after a couple days. But the fact that there is a laundry machine here at all is so convenient! There is something magical about living just below the Lower Barakka gardens at the edge of the fortress. . . .
