Just a chill dude in a chill place doing chill things with chill people.
I stayed at David's place for 3 nights last week while back in Somerville briefly. David is a great and sociable host, fun to have a conversation with but will also leave you be if you wish. I was a little slow checking out on the last day [I had a lot of stuff] - and he was super accommodating about it, even helping me with my bags. The room is comfortable and well-furnished, with a big wardrobe and dresser, a desk where I was able to work, and fast internet. The room has a nice view and I was literally able to see stars as I was walking up the big back wood stairs [the apartment is on the top floor]. Overall my experience here was chilled out and peaceful, exactly what I needed! Thanks David for hosting me, and best of luck in the future with your programming work!
Dave was the perfect host you can find! I just had excellent time at his place when i was there for a week. All you need is just your bags with absolutely nothing else. Kitchen was fully equipped. It was awesome to chat with Dave from time to time about philosophy and science! But if you need to have privacy, that was never a problem too. Plus commuting to sullivan square station from his place was just easy, which lets you connect with the rest of the boston area quite well. I never had issues to use the shared kitchen and bathroom. I would definitely recommend this place.
David is a good guy and a good talker.
His apartment's located on the top floor, so you'll need to climb a few flights of stairs to get there. The stairs easily freeze during the winter so be careful!!!!!!!! The kitchen and the bathroom were not that clean. There is only one bathroom shared among the three rooms, but you can organize your turns.
Overall it was not bad, I recommend it to all easy-going people that have a limited budget!
The reservation was canceled 21 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
David hosted me for a week. I was moving to Boston and I needed some place to stay for a week before I could find a place for myself. He was very helpful right from the beginning. He called me to find out when I was arriving to his place. I got a weekend parking with his weekend pass for street parking. The room is clean and warm and perfect for one person. Two people can adjust though the bed is just for one. The place was quiet and roommates were very nice to talk to. The kitchen and bathroom were clean. Kitchen is not very big but if you are a light cooker it is good.
David is easy to talk to and you can ask him anything about Boston. I enjoy my stay at David's place.
David's place is really close to the station, which was really convenient (especially in the polar vortex cold). His apartment's located on the top floor, so you'll need to climb a few flights of stairs to get there. We had small luggages so it was a pretty decent walk up.
The room was comfy, provided with sufficient blankets, hangers in the wardrobe, but just one towel. The walls were really thin though, so we could hear everything from the other room! If you need absolute silence when sleeping, you can use the earplugs that David provides. There is only one bathroom shared among the three rooms, but it was fine for us when we were there.
Overall, it was a pretty good stay. Thanks for hosting us!
Very comfortable and casual place, I had a nice view of the sunset and fireworks out the bedroom window! David was very welcoming and hospitable and took my call several times for help with local directions. Thanks for your help David!
David is a helpful host. He shows us places to visit. His house is close to places that I plan to visit as well. I had a great new year in Boston.
I and my friend checked in around midnight and David was so hospitably welcoming to us. He also helped carrying the luggage upstairs. He gave us all necessary instructions to make the living accommodation easier (room keys, WiFi, bathroom etc.). The room that we stay already had the pillows and mattresses ready. Overall, our experience with David was fairly good.
This is really fast to get downtown or to Harvard. The neighbourhood is really nice and quiet. Nevertheless we were 2 and we had to pay a bit more for an extra person even if there was nothing to host the other person (no bed, no towel), so we had to share one small bed. The kitchen and the bathroom were not that clean.
Response from David:
Aurore, sometimes guests who stay in my other room make a big mess in the bathroom/kitchen (hair, water, dishes, etc. everywhere). I'm not a 24/7 cleaning service so there's nothing I can do to tidy it up until I've got time.
It was a pleasure hosting David. He was kind considerate and great about communicating with me.. I'd welcome him back anytime
David dropped by for a one night stay and was very easy to arrange check in with. He was a perfect short term guest we would offer the space to him again.
David was a totally great guest!
Me and David have been roommates for the last year or so. I never had a roommate before and I was a little bit nervous but Dave was a really cool guy! Right from the start he would help me out with any questions or issues I had! I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is serious into finding a friendly yet serious and considerate roommate. If you wanna keep to yourself, it's ok, but if you want a friend to hang out with he is your guy!
David is a really cool person to hang out with, very down-to-earth and easy to talk to. Definitely a person I am glad to know.
