Lillian's cottage is as adorable and well-kept as it is in the photos. The space is comfortable for 2, and has most of the amenities you would need. It's also located near a great section of Magazine St., with wonderful shops, restaurants, and bars nearby.
Great house in a great location... Couldn't ask for more on our New Orleans adventure. House was classic and clean and had plenty of space for 2. Lillian was quick to greet us and we didn't need anything else. Make sure to walk around the corner to Atchafalaya restaurant... Unbelievable!
The shotgun shack was a perfect place to spend the weekend! We got a rental car and had plenty of space to park on the street. The shack is two blocks from magazine street and is a great jumping spot from which to explore the city. We got in extremely late on Friday night and Lillian was very accommodating about our arrival and departure times. I would definitely recommend this property for a relaxed and comfortable New Orleans visit!
Thanks Maya for being such great guests.
Loved staying in this adorable cottage! The location is terrific - great restaurants and a nice market are just two blocks away. The house is so charming and tidy, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe.
Great little place, neat clean, good location 3 blocks from Magazine. On Magazine you can find all one could want.
Lillian's place was really lovely. For a small place, it really is spacious. The neighborhood felt safe and cozy. The bed was a little small for two people but worked fine for a short stay. The jacuzzi tub was really comfortable but the water wasn't able to get really hot, though it was warm enough. 10/10, I would definitely stay here again.
Lillian's place was perfect for my boyfriend and I. The shotgun house and plethora of bird art were charming. The neighborhood is quiet enough to not be disturbed by the hubbub of Magazine street. I was afraid we might hear the trains since the tracks are relatively nearby but that wasn't an issue. Lillian was very responsive at all points. She was also flexible when we wanted to leave our bags to explore the city after we had checked out. All around, this was a great trip and Lillian's place made it all the more unique and special. Would recommend.
Thanks for the great review. I appreciate it.
The cottage is in a fantastic location and is super cute. We had a lovely stay and Lillian was able to accommodate us for an extra night with little notice due to a flight cancellation. Great jumping off point for exploring NOLA.
Lillian was a most accommodating and friendly host. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and located close to a great section of Magazine st.: nearby are food stores, restaurants, bars, and shops of all descriptions. Bus service from here is good too.
We had a wonderful stay at Lillian's property in the Irish Channel neighborhood. I second all of the positive comments others have left. The space is wonderful - very cozy, and equipped with all you need for a very comfortable stay. It is a perfect jumping off point for seeing the many different parts of the city, particularly those located further Uptown. We stayed there for several days of carnival season, and the house is especially well-located for accessing the Uptown parade route in several different places. Breaux Mart and Wallgreens are two block walk for the essentials, Rouses Supermarket is about a twenty minute walk for more serious shopping. Lots of great bars and shopping on the nearby stretch of Magazine Street. The small backyard is wonderful in warm weather. We spent one sunny afternoon eating crawfish there.
The French Quarter, Warehouse and Central Business Districts are all easily reachable by a quick ride on the 11 bus.
Lillian lives right nearby and was a terrific host. She checked in with us before our arrival and made it very easy to get in and get ourselves situated. She even left us a slice of king cake to welcome us to town, which was a wonderful touch.
I would heartily recommend this property to anyone who wants a great New Orleans experience.
