I am the Ex Dir of Our Bodies Ourselves and have worked more than 4 decades in the field of women's health education and advocacy (our website describes our work in depth). I have a daughter graduating with a masters in education shortly, and two step-children long in the workforce. I have 3 grandchildren as well. I play the cello when I can, like classical music, and have to travel a lot for work.
I try to stay with friends when I can and like to avoid hotels. I love good food (prefer organic) and good coffee. I am very careful about leaving a place as I find it and have a lot of experience staying at other people's homes. I also host a lot of visitors at my home in Newton, but I don't do this for money.
As I have worked my life for a struggling nonprofit (big name, but small budget), I need to save money where I can. Thus, airbnb is a great idea, I think.
