Jennifer was a fantastic AirBnB host, friendly and prompt communication throughout the whole experience. The loft was amazing and looks exactly as shown in the pictures very clean and spacious. Whilst the apartment was stunning we did feel a bit cautious about walking around the streets it is located in at night. (*Please note this was probably due to us being two females and not familiar with the area or well travelled, other more seasoned travellers probably wouldn't mind it at all). Thankfully Jennifer's friend Mark helped us out by recommending Lyft and Uber as transport to get around. These services were excellent and a very cheap and safe way to get around to explore San Francisco. The cats Trixie and Tidbit were adorable and great company. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Jennifer as an Airbnb host. Thanks, Bree & Lisa
Beautiful and clean space with a fully stocked kitchen. We enjoyed how close we were to the BART during the day but did not feel safe walking around the neighbourhood after it was dark. Luckily the cab ride from downtown was very cheap as well! It was nice to be able to read the guestbook with tourist recommendations from other guests trips. Thanks for being a great host Jennifer!
Getting to the Hip Modern Loft is like coming home. The place is fully equipped, spacious and comfortable. The roof top terrace is a big plus with a incredible view over the city. We would certainly go back there.
The apartment is fabulous! And just as pictured on the listing. Everything was clean and ready for us upon arrival, even though we checked in early. After only a day, the place felt like home. My husband and I enjoyed coming back to the apartment after a long day of site seeing and enjoying a glass of wine on one of the many outdoor spaces. The kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked with your usual pantry items (coffee, spices, etc). Although we didn't do much cooking, it was great to have it available. The Mission district is quite charming. We traveled from the airport to the apartment via the BART (with great directions provided by Jennifer). On first appearance, the area looked a bit questionable but as you move away from the station, it is very eclectic and nice. Great Mexican food! Having the BART station right there is also very convenient and allowed us to navigate through town quickly and affordably. Jennifer was a great host. We had one issue with the internet. We called her and she responded quickly with advice to fix the issue and then texted us later to make sure it was resolved. I cannot say enough great things about this place! This was our first time using airbnb and we will definitely use it again.
Jennifer's loft was fantastic! Great location and very homey. If you like to cook, there is a fully stocked kitchen and a Whole Foods a couple of blocks away. We had such a great time and hope to come back again soon!
Thanks again, Jennifer!
Great communication from the beginning with a follow up closer to time of rental with information on the area and the apartment. Jen was unable to meet us that day but her lovely friend Kimberley met us and made it so easy. Jen's apartment was fantastic and well equipped and very spacious with everything that we needed and the rooftop was a great way to sit and end the day. Fantastic location with easy stroll to the bart. The mission district is eclectic and vibrant and is a great way to see San Fran away from the tourist traps and get to see how the locals live. There are great local places to eat and drink around (Southern pacific brewing co just to mention one if you like your craft beers and great food!) and close to 24th street and valencia (good shopping, food and people watching). Can not fault... Got to meet Jen's lovely cats as well for a couple of days... Really made it feel like home and we missed them when they went. Thanks again Jen... It was nice to meet you good luck for the future and give the cats a pat from us!! If we are ever back in you're neck of the woods we will definitely love to stay at yours again.
This loft was amazing! It had everything we needed and very close to the mission for some great food. It also was near the BART so getting into the city was easy.
The neighborhood was quiet and the rooftop patio was a nice addition. I would stay here again.
If you are looking for a place to stay in San Francisco, stop looking because you've found it!
Jennifer's place is beyond amazing. We stayed for 8 days and enjoyed every minute. It is in a great location within the Mission. Easy access to PT and walking distance to plenty of great spots. If you like coffee there are 4 places walking distance - Blue Bottle (literally around the corner), Sightglass, Four Barrell and Ritual. Also visit Mission Bowls (ten pin bowling and a bar!) and CatHead (the best BBQ and biscuits you'll ever have).
The space is huge! Big windows that fill the apartment with natural light during the day. And thick curtains and blinds to block out at night. The bed was so comfortable, we actually slept like babies every single night. The kitchen is well equipped and great for a night in. Plenty of coffee supplies too :)
But I haven't even got to the best part! The kitties! Tidbit and Trixie are the sweetest pair, they were the highlight of our SF trip. The cats made you feel welcome from day 1 and we both agreed it was like coming 'home' every time we had been out. I feel sorry if you don't get to meet Trixie and Tidbit! We are still conspiring a way to get them back to Australia without Jennifer noticing.
Jennifer was a great host. She emailed before our visit a clear and helpful house manual and a huge list of places to eat, drink and visit - which I was grateful for as I liked knowing what to plan for. Jennifer also left handy post it notes for us around the house, so we knew where we could store our belongings or where things we might need were kept. Jennifer was easy to communicate with too and made sure that we were happy campers during our stay.
You should now be pressing 'Book'.

We loved the apartment! Looked even better in real life, the cats we're so fun to be around, with Trix always looking for a hug an Tidbit always looking for food! The view on the roof is amazing, definitely enough reason to book this place! Jennifer was very nice, great host!
Jennifer was very respectfull of the house. She let everything in a perfect state. And I like the way she enjoyed my home. As I was not in Paris, we had very good contacts via emails. We will certainly keep in touch and she is welcomed again whenever she wants. I surely recommand her as a host !
Jennifer stayed at our house for only one evening but I had the pleasure of having a nice chat with her over a morning cup of coffee. She is super friendly and an experienced Airbnb-er (as a guest and a host!). We would definitely recommend hosting Jennifer!
I never got to meet Jennifer, but she was communicative and left the place in good condition!
Jennifer was an ideal guest and lovely person. I enjoyed a bit of time talking with her in the morning, and would have her back anytime!
Jennifer was an amazing guest and so super pleasant to have in my home. She even washed the sheets and the towels prior to her departure, as well as left me a bottle of wine. She was super chill with me fixing a few things when she was out for the day. She is welcome back anytime!
Jennifer was a great guest to have at my apartment, she is incredibly sweet (and brought the best brownie I've ever had!) I would love to host her again!
I want Jennifer's life! She came to Chicago with a plan and was successful in enjoying her vacation! Connecting with old friends and new while eating at some of the most popular resturants.
Jennifer was friendly, full of energy and nice! She was a great Guest respecting my home and helping to keep it clean.
Fun and Easy, I would invite Jennifer back and you should invite her into your home.
Jen is a friend and a former colleague. We worked together as bakers at Tartine Bakery in San Francisco. We stayed friends as I've moved on to other jobs and back to college! As a friend Jen is warm, thoughtful and lots of fun. She's always out trying new things and has a lot of fun and interesting suggestions of stuff to do when we hang out. As a former AirBnb host myself, I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Jen's loft; it's AWESOME! The loft is spacious, clean and comfortably furnished. It's also ideally located for exploring SF: the Mission, SOMA, the Castro, Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, and Bernal Heights are a quick walk away. There's easy parking in the neighborhood and quick acess to buses and BART.
Jen is a great hostess. She keeps a spotless home, and knows a lot about what's going on in San Francisco for music, art, food, drink. She's locally famous as a pastry chef at Tartine, and has been known to *innovate* in her own kitchen too. Foodies will especially benefit from her experience of San Francisco and beyond!
In the years I've known her, I can tell you that Jennifer is count-on-able, a hard worker, and super detailed in everything she does. You'd have a tough time finding a guest who's more thoughtful and respectful of your property and neighbors than Jen. As a host, Jen is detail-oriented, thorough, and accommodating. Highly recommended.
