I so enjoyed meeting Katherine and her partner. They couldn't have been more gracious, friendly, happy and respectful of the cottage. They left it in great shape and anyone would be more than fortunate to have them stay as guests. I hope to see them again someday.
Katherine and her mother were apparently unhappy with the apartment, but at no time did they communicate this to me during their stay. Since Katherine lives only a block from my house, I had encouraged her to come and pick up the keys from me and inspect the apartment PRIOR to her mother's stay. She canceled both times that we had arranged to meet. My apartment does not have a traditional layout. For that reason, I do describe it in detail to potential guests. This is the first time I've had someone complain about the space itself or how it has been represented to them.
I did accidentally leave one of the keys to the apartment at my office that day, and was unable to retrieve it until the next day. That was definitely a mistake on my part, and an inconvenience for them. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot I could do about it other than retrieve the key as quickly as possible, which I did.
The situation with the internet being down was out of my control, as it was an issue with the Internet provider.
Katherine and her friends were great tenants. You could feel they had a good time which is always satisfactory for a host. Katherine was courteous and very respectful. Perfect communication. I strongly recommend her to all AirBnB hosts.
