Joanne's home was a wonderful place to get acquainted with the Santa Fe area. I stayed with her for nearly three weeks and she was a wonderful and accommodating host throughout.
The house is nicely setup for guests, either short-term or long-term, as guests occupy one side of the house while the host is primarily on the other side. Joanne has two dogs but both are very well trained and behaved.
All in all, I highly recommend it.
From the opening of her front door until our departure, Joann made us feel at home in her natural, clean and clear environment. Friendly, yet respectful of persons and their space, her two dogs, Lobie and Luna reflect the overall atmosphere of this retreat in the El Dorado community, near Santa Fe New Mexico.
First of all the house is tastefully decorated and clean, with fun things to look at wherever your eye should land. The bed is comfortable, bathroom clean and nice.
Once you meet Joanne it takes very little time to recognize that this is a person who lives meaningfully and deliberately. She is kind and thoughtful and can engage in deep conversation. She will lead you to the best of Santa Fe if you ask.
We left her home feeling rejuvenated in mind and spirit. We fell in love with her canine companions, Luna and Lobo as well.

We had a wonderful time at Joanne's home. A beautiful and relaxing space, and Joanne made us feel welcomed and very comfortable.
My stay at Joanne's was magical in many ways. I had never been to New Mexico before. I am from Toronto, Canada.
I fell in love instantly with the decor in her home and wit her two wonderful dogs! Having breakfast out on her terrace and looking out onto the spaciousness of land and blue sky still stays with me today as a treasured memory.
Joanne was at all times helpful, kind and personable. I will always think fondly of my stay at her home.
I previously lived in Santa Fe for over a decade and was looking to stay somewhere that offered the best and most genuine elements of the place. Every aspect of my stay with Joanne was great- she's a gracious hostess, her accommodations are comfortable and aesthetically wonderful and the house is set in beautiful, peaceful desert surroundings. I couldn't be happier with my decision to stay with her. A+++
Staying here was just what I needed. She is an amazing host and a really good person. Everything was lovely and clean and cared about. She made me feel at home. I can't wait to go back to stay there and see her.
This adobe home is full of art and set in the rolling hills of Santa Fe. Admits dramatic skies and walking trails, it has a relaxed garden space with room for yoga or morning coffee to help start a day in the desert.
Quiet, comfortable, and clean without artificial product smell. Joanne is delightful to chat with and she has great recommendations of of places to eat and venture to. This stay is worth it.
Staying two nights at Joanne's was an absolute delight! Rainbows out the front door, hummingbirds out the back, these are just a few of my favorite Santa Fe things! Joanne is fascinating and we could have talked for hours. She is a thoughtful host and attended to many details. Her home is perfection and the double bed was incredibly comfortable. The bedroom has a window facing the mountains with a glorious sunrise view. I am so glad I chose Mountain Views Private Room. I could not have been happier!
My stay with Joanne was one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. Her home was comfortable and welcoming. The room was fantastic; quiet, clean, and private. The bed was comfortable, and the view from the window was spectacular. You have all of the amenities that you could need. The property was very peaceful and relaxing. The back deck area was, of course, my favorite part. I was able to sit and enjoy the peace and quite and the beautiful mountain scenery. Joanne’s home is particularly ideal for someone who wants to clear their mind and refresh themselves.
Joanne was accommodating and welcoming. She made sure I had anything I needed and gave great suggestions on things to do. She is calm, relaxed and genuine. She is respectful of your space and privacy, but also great to converse with and she is simply great company. I consider my time spent talking with her as some of the best parts of my stay.
Joanne is a truly wonderful person, and I feel fortunate to have met her. I plan on returning many times in the future.
My stay will be something that I’ll remember forever. And I will miss the dogs too!
Joanne's place out there in El Dorado is terrific, and Joanne—if Joanne had been the host at every B & B or inn or hotel I ever spent the night at, my traveling life would have been a whole lot richer. An extraordinary person—warm, kind, real—who makes everyone feel good immediately.
Staying at Joanne's home is an authentic New Mexico experience. Her adobe home is surrounded by an endless expanse of sky and nature. Indoors she has the most comfortable, artistic and cozy decor. She welcomes me and my boyfriend into her home every year for the Santa Fe Century bike ride and makes us feel like we're staying at an intimate bed and breakfast. She's so welcoming and warm but is also willing to give us space in a private room with it's own bathroom.
Joanne has opened her home to many guests over the years and everyone adores staying with her. We ride our bikes from her home into downtown Santa Fe or it's about a 10 or 15 minute trek in the car. After enjoying all the splendor of Santa Fe it's refreshing to head into Joanne's neighborhood which is so quiet that you can hear the coyotes howling and see a blanket of stars above your head (hitting up the Eldorado flea market was also a radical adventure last year).
I highly recommend staying here when you venture into Santa Fe; you will want to come back!
