Had a great trip and experience staying at Rachel's place. Location was perfect, if you have a car, you can head into the city quick and enjoy the quiet neighborhood area of the apartment. The apartment was perfect for my boyfriend and I to spend the long weekend. Rachel was great in setting things up before we arrived and very flexible with our check out time. I would highly recommend!
Rachel's place worked out great and was in a great location! We were very pleased with our stay and would totally stay here again.
I had a great time staying here. Comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, sunny and plenty of pots, pans etc. for cooking. There is no real dining area nor desk type of set-up for working but I didn't really need that personally. The apt is an easy walk to the grocery store, pharmacy, a great diner, an outdoor public pool and a massage place. Perfect for one person or a couple who just need a place at the beginning and end of the day. Rachel isn't around but was quick to answer any questions/issues I ran into via text message.
I stayed for a week.
Pros - clean space, excellent shower water pressure(like a massage), closet to hang your stuff up,
Cons- i'm used to other airbnbs providing welcome information like maps of area, bus route schedules, restaurant recommendations, nearest grocery and laundromat etc. i was left totally on my own to figure everything out. I ended up spending a lot of money using uber because i didn't know where the nearest bus stops were and where they went. I had to ask people i crossed paths in the neighborhood where the best priced local grocery stores, closest laundromats were, where the bus stops were that would get me to downtown, etc. A nice space, but the lacking information made it a lot harder to acclimate to the city
Rachel was Great! She accommodated our crazy itinerary that moved around several times due to my Mother-in-law who has full time care.
Overall, my friend and I enjoyed our stay at Rachel's apartment. The apartment was clean, the bed was comfortable (the couch wasn't though, so I wouldn't recommend a third person), and we had a kitchen with everything we could need, minus a microwave. There was plenty of room to unpack and it was nicely decorated. The TV had a DVD player (no cable), and when the WiFi didn't work, Rachel quickly called Time Warner to fix it. The apartment was in a great location and very quiet with street parking. It was close to Zilker Park, a grocery store/shopping center, and only a few miles from downtown. We did have to ask Rachel about how to get the key, where to park, how to clean up the apartment, etc; I've had more welcoming hosts before. But she was quick to respond to any questions I had.
Such a great stay, I extended it. Thanks again Rachel.
Rachel was great! The apartment is in a great location close to downtown, the lake, and groceries. Was only going to stay a few days, but ended up staying 10. Perfect rental for one or two.
Thanks again Rachel...
Airbnb asked me to review for each stay! What can I say? Three stays, three 5 star reviews!!
Not the most welcoming stay I've had. Other Airbnb hosts gave instructions on how to get in, where to park, etc. before I arrived, and they left notes about connecting to the Internet, where to find supplies, and things to check out in the area. When I asked about arrival and wifi, it took a while to hear back until I started texting rather than using Airbnb's message system.
The main issue is that there were no toiletries – we had to buy toilet paper, towels (the ones provided didn't seem clean), shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, and paper towels. I would have brought my own stuff if I had known, but previous Airbnb experiences led me to believe that these basic necessities are usually provided. On the bright side, the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies.
Overall, the apartment was clean, comfortable for a couple, and in a convenient location with a car (walking 30 mins downtown was fine during the day but we didn't want to go along/under the freeway at night). If I came back to Austin, I'd probably stay in a different neighborhood, but this was a decent value.
Rachel and her friends were great. I would absolutely recommend Rachel to future hosts.
Rachel was a wonderful guest to host! She was very quick to respond to messages and was extremely tidy. I would welcome Rachel back to my place anytime she would like. I would highly recommend her as a guest!
Rachel Rivas was very friendly and kind. She was very clean and quiet. She was prompt at her check in and check out times. As we shared the living room area with her and the guest bathroom, she also went above and beyond by communicating the times she would be back in for the night. My roommate and I really appreciated her as a guest!
Rachel was a pleasure to host. We didn't see much of her as our schedules were different. But she was tidy, quite, easy going and no trouble.
Rachel and her friend stayed one night and I didn't even see them! They left the place clean and were very respectful!
I found Rachel to be considerate and flexible. She is very personable and was fun to have around. I would not hesitate at all to host her again. Highly recommend.
Rachel was an absolute delight to host. I would welcome her back any time!
Rachel and her friend were fun to host. They have a lot of postive energy and are really friendly. They are also very flexible. My weekend was really packed while they were here so I didn't get to be around much, but they took care of my place as if it were their own home. I recommend them 100%.
Rachel and her friend were pleasant guests and are welcome back anytime. She has an interesting story too. Hopefully we'll all see her on TV soon. :)
