Our stay at the Vintage Tudor in SoCo went very well. The house is spacious and well equipped. A group of 8 of us visited for the weekend and we found the house to be as described and perfect for our getaway. The house is pretty large so its almost a maze to find all the bedrooms but everyone slept great. The kitchen, living room and dining room were used here and there and perfect for what we needed. The one complaint about the house is the water pressure and the showers. Most of the showers are built for people who are 5'6" and shorter and the water pressure reminds you of a weak garden hose. Other than that, things went great. We used the grill and pool during our stay and both worked well.
All in all a very nice place to stay with a large group in Austin. Highly recommended.

I'll start by saying that my friends showed up to the unit in advance of the check-in time, so there may have been things the owner wanted to check out before we got there, but did not get a chance to because we were there. I think she was surprised we were already there and that's likely our fault.
While the host was very receptive to issues we ran into, after a few issues, I basically stopped raising issues.
That said, we ran into many issues, most of them revolving around the bathrooms their cleanliness, hot water and water pressure, which got frustrating when we have 10 people trying to get ready multiple times a day. There are 4 bathrooms:
3rd floor: The faucet didn't seem to work when we got there and only dripped cold water. While the owner fixed the faucet with a plumber, the shower ended up having the same problems
2nd floor: Green bathroom had toilet seat that was cracking and had splinters, the shower had good water pressure, but the curtains and shower head were pretty dirty.
Pink bathroom had really poor water pressure and 2 doors, neither of which lock, one of which takes trickery as the knob is somewhat broken. There are also 6 knobs in the shower and until the owner explained what some of them do, it was kind of a crapshoot as to what happens (one of them clogs the tub). This is similar to the 3rd floor bathroom.
Basement: bathroom was okay condition, but again, could use cleaning.
The group essentially used 2 bathrooms of the 4 for majority of the trip.
Many of the bedroom/bathroom doors do not lock (not great for a big group like ours).
All that said, I think the trip was awesome because of this house.
Another big concern we had was the number of bedrooms and in that regard this house was perfect for our group of 10, which included singles and couples. The living area and kitchen were awesome and perfect. The kitchen had plenty of glasses, utensils, dishes, new fridge, dishwasher, coffeemaker, stove, etc.
The pool was big enough to accommodate, it could definitely use some cleaning since there are tree branches that go over the pool tend to drop leaves in there and there a area behind the pool that has some lawn chairs in rough shape.
The area is quiet, suburban. Not much to do w/o a car, but close enough to downtown to uber it for $10. Location was just what we wanted along with the size of it.
Host was very quick to respond, never had any issues getting in touch with her. The house is just as pictured. All in all, great rental & great location. We enjoyed our stay here very much.
Courtney was not able to meet us because we arrived a little early, but the house was easy to get in and the instructions were on the table.
We loved the location and it comfortably housed 11 of us and the children loved the
It was much better than staying in a hotel!! We would rent again.
The house was outstanding. It easily accommodated our business group. It was comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen was very modern and well-equipped. The price was a value compared to the cost of hotel rooms. Excellent location near downtown and other attractions. Would definitely stay there again.
Courtney is absolutely wonderful; super responsive and accommodating. This place is HUGE. Perfect spot for our reunion weekend of 4 couples from business school. The location is great for getting to all the fun spots in Austin- 6th street, South Congress, Rainey Street, and the paths along the river. We got everywhere we wanted to go very quickly and conveniently!
When we arrived, the lights were on and the shades were up making us feel very welcomed. The listing was accurate. The neighborhood was nice and very quiet.
Courtney was wonderful. She arrived early and was very welcoming.
She took the time to explain all the details of her .
The neighborhood was lovely and convenient to downtown Austin.
I am so lucky. 2 guest reservations, both the best in the world! Courtney and her incredible family were amazing. Their two young children and their dog were the most well behaved guests...ever! They not only left my home spotless, but appreciated and utilized every aspect of this home. They ate dinner in the garden every night...and told me they loved it. They totally took advantage of everything this neighborhood has to offer...from local supermarkets, shopping, restaurants and a children's park all only blocks away, within walking distance. They are experienced AirBnB property owners which made everything so easy for me. I'm going to be working on gathering a group to rent their place in Texas. Can't wait to see them again.
