I've lived in Austin for 11 years- went to the University of Texas at Austin to earn a degree in architecture, and now work as a designer of restaurants, bars and houses in town.
I love traveling, yoga, good food, and excellent design.

Leyla was a great host. Though we didn't meet her, the house was great, and the location was wonderful. It was walking distance to many attractions. We would definitely stay here again.
The location was as described and very quaint. The location was great, with quick access to the interstate. It is a short walk to the capital and 6th street, but we enjoyed having a car so we could explore more of the city. This can easily be done by hiring a ride (cab, Uber, etc.) as well.
I had a great time in Austin. The house is in a calm quiet neighborhood but still pretty close to everything. The house was super comfortable clean and cute. Everything was beyond my expectations.
Location was great. Home was very comfortable. Leyla checked in with us via text to make sure everything was gong well.
Incredible property, incredible location. Can't wait to stay at Leyla's again.
Dans un quartier calme et agréable, à quinze minutes à pied du Capitole, Leyla offre un hébergement confortable, et elle est de très bon conseil sur les opportunités de la ville.
This is a charming little house in a great central location, and Leyla's a charming and wonderful host with great advice on what to do around town.
It was a smooth check-in and check-out, because we never even saw the host!
The apartment is fun and funky, with sloped ceilings and no doors separating the rooms (except the bathroom). It has great morning sunlight. The TV is tiny by modern standards.
Conveniently located, it's a short walk to a variety of interesting restaurants and bars on the hipster East Downtown area, and just a bit further to downtown and the "Bourbon street of Austin."
When we went, the place felt a little neglected, in a general state of disrepair, so I have to knock a point off for that.
Everything was so lovely. We were coming from nyc so the adorable airy apartment was right on point. Leyla was helpful and available but not ever intrusive. It was so much fun and a good location.
Leyla is a lovely friend whom I would trust as either host or guest. She's smart, sweet, and responsible. We've hosted her at our home on numerous occasions and visa versa, and I wouldn't think twice about giving her keys to my home.
Leyla is a dear friend and all-round marvelous person. She's so accomodating, and will no doubt make sure you feel right at home. Leyla's place is just gorgeous - she actually made many of the custom wood pieces herself. You'll be ever so lucky indeed to stay at her place!
I have often taken trips to Austin to visit Leyla (my cousin) and it has always been more of a vacation for me, as her home is so cute and stylish...it reminds me of the boutique hotels I often stay in when visiting other cities.
The location is safe and I am able to walk to Wheatsville, one of the coolest grocery stores in Austin! It has a small town feel, and great coffee and breakfast tacos to get me started in the morning. At night I can walk to hopfield (a local bar) or crown and anchor for beer and burgers! And of course there are a million very cool Austin-y options just minutes away via car. Big perk being in the heart of everything.
Leyla is also very helpful to her guests because she enjoys meeting and helping out the Airbnb community of people that have passed through her home. She has even got me started using Airbnb!
I highly suggest her place for anyone wanting to experience Austin or wanting a clean, comfortable, stylish place to stay =).
