Arthur was extremely accommodating given I could not switch my mobile sim at CDG airport. Communication was a bit complicated upon arrival for this reason and no fault of his. For non french speaking AirBNBr's he communicated in person and through the app very well. A+
The apartment is in the residential West end, and very close to OECD so if you have business in the area it's pretty convenient and quiet. The kitchen is limited if you're considering cooking for yourself, there is a 'Picard' close by which is a 'zap and eat' type of grocery.
It's about an hour+ walk for quick walkers to the Louvre so it's not too far away from the sights if you're an active person /or are comfortable with the metro.
The elevator is very small and in the back of the building. Being on the top at the 8th floor it was a bit of a hassle leaving on a sunday when it wasn't working.
* Quiet residential area.
* The bed was small but comfortable for 1 person, and there were ample oil heaters distributed around for heat.
* Good host, great communication skills
* The smell from the drain piping in the washroom may put some people off. I certainly needed windows open during my stay.
* There were bugs in the kitchen which honestly put me off cooking despite the modest set-up. **I should clarify there were no bed bugs, and 'some' insects should be expected in old buildings**.
It's a typical bachelors apartment which means no frills, but the price and location for a business traveller make this a solid 3 star stay. Closer to a hostel than a bnb/hotel.
Tip: Cabbies had a bit of a tough time finding the building for some reason, use the park across the road as a landmark
I am the first "airbnb'er" to stay at Arthur's apartment, and I can definitely recommend it. In the 16th, it is a very nice area to explore Paris. The bed was comfortable as was the apartment. Arthur met me with the keys and was helpful. Give it a try!
The property was left n good condition .
