Staying at Terry's was great. The apartment was very cute and clean. We had a 100% privacy the whole stay. Terry was a great host, provided directions for us, had some breakfast for us in the fridge and even gave us additional kitchen dish for our desires. We would definitely recommend staying at Terry's!
Luis and I loved our stay here. It was brief but very enjoyable. Terry is a thoughtful host and her apartment reflects it! This is apartment is exactly what all the previous reviews mention...cozy, comfortable, clean...just lovely.
This was our second time back to the apartment. This is a wonderful place you should go!
Spent 3 nights at Terry's place when Hurricane Sandy hit the area. The apartment is the perfect size and has all the conveniences I needed. Terry provided breakfast items and had home-baked muffins on the counter when I arrived. As the storm moved in, she was quick to explain what I should be aware of and made sure to check on me regularly. It was reassuring to know I was in a safe spot while far from home. The location is calm and beautiful. I spent time in the gazebo reading when I first arrived (pre-storm) and enjoyed watching the chickens in the yard, the deer across the creek, and hot air balloons going by overhead. I highly recommend Terry's apartment for your stay in Lancaster!
We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely apartment, which is separate from the main house. The place was clean and very comfortable. We loved the fact that it is situated on the outskirts of Lancaster, very quiet and safe. However, you need your own transport. We did not have transport, thinking we could rely on the bus system. Eventually we had to impose a lot on our hostess for transport.
The apartment is exactly as described--it is cozy, clean, and has every amenity you can think of. It is a very well planned design with complete privacy and lovely antique furnishings. It is is an idyllic location, nestled into a hill, with chickens, birds and deer (across the road) in eyesight. We stayed here to visit our daughter at F&M, which is only 10 minutes away. It's also a perfect location for exploring Lancaster and the surrounding area. Thanks to Terry and Mike's recommendations, we enjoyed a day trip to Strasburg and hiked in Lancaster County Park 2 minutes away, which has miles of trails, a river, a covered bridge, a basketball court, and a skateboard park. Terry provided delicious apple cake and home made granola for our breakfast, and there was OJ, milk, yogurt and more in the fully equipped kitchen. There is an above average book collection which was fun to peruse. Terry's stained glass is beautiful! I can imagine staying here anytime of year and hope to return.
I absolutely loved Terry's place. It was darling and perfectly appointed for a one night stay or more. The place was cozy, the kitchen nice to make dinner, and we loved all the little extras that went in with Terry's thoughtfulness -- like eggs and bread. It was such a great stop on our trip and I am already looking at booking again in the future.
A wonderful country experience only a couple of minutes from downtown Lancaster. Outstanding value with lots of homely aspects. Thank you
This is a beautifully decorated apartment and it is the perfect size. It is a few miles from downtown Lancaster and a close drive to all the amish farmland. I look forward to returning and I highly recommend this apartment to others. Terry and Mike were great!
What a lovely oasis within Lancaster! We greatly enjoyed our stay with Terry and Mike! They were exceptionally accommodating to our late night arrival and warmly welcomed us. The apartment was lovely and included a nice array of breakfast foods to help us start our day! We highly recommend the location, the apartment, and the hosts! Thank you Terry and Mike!
My husband and I have known Mike and Terry for over two decades, in both the States and in Spain. They are uniquely insightful and adventurous people. You will enjoy fascinating conversations with them, if you are wise enough to invite them to share a glass of good Spanish Ribera del Duero, or other fine red wine, while you stay in their charming private apartment.
The apartment is tastefully decorated and spacious. You have a super comfortable bed, antique furniture and a modern bathroom and kitchen all to yourselves!
We stayed there just a few weeks ago and loved how cosmopolitan it felt to be guests there! At the same time, you are also in the gorgeous country surrounds of Lancaster, PA. When we departed early on a Sunday morning, we passed Amish buggy after buggy traveling to church. It was so special!
Be assured there are many angles to Lancaster. The city itself is both charming and sophisticated at the same time. Dinner at Lancaster Brewery was delicious and fun. The beer is remarkable! You can explore restaurants, antique shops, galleries and so much more in town. Terry is quite the talented stained glass artisan, and she may share some of her work with you, if you inquire. Mike's artistic specialty is high quality bookbinding, also a rare art!
I can say with great assurance that you will be glad you chose to stay at Mike and Terry's charming country home with the cozy country apartment!
