Amazing place and really helpful hosts! Willing to help as much as they could! Bread and wine provided on arrival and such a great time!! Would definitely recommend to any couple
Aileen and this sweet cottage are a pleasure and a treat. We only wish we could have stayed longer, but we highly recommend this as a romantic retreat or holiday!
A lovely cottage and host, everything as described, and Deirdre could not have been more helpful
Even stayed up late to greet us.
will recommend to others.
From being welcomed with freshly baked brown bread to having to leave two nights later this was a perfect stay. Deirdre is a great host, nothing is too much trouble. The house itself is amazing, really beautiful with a tangible sense of history. We will definitely be back!
Thanks from Colm & Aisling
This was an incredibly special and romantic place. Just as described it is like stepping back in time to an amazingly authentic and romantic retreat. Deirdre welcomed myself and my boyfriend with a warm smile and freshly baked bread and then left us to enjoy the cottage. We were back in Ireland for a weekend and wanted to head West, only 2.5 hrs from Dublin this was perfect. This is the perfect balance between country and city. You're ten minutes from Galway City with the feel of being in the middle of no where. The highlight of the trip was the open fire where we chilled for the two nights enjoying red wine and catching up without the disturbance of modern conveniences such as a TV. If you're looking to stay somewhere authentic and different - stay here.
Upon arriving Deirdre was lovely and very accommodating as we late!
Had an absolutely wonderful experience! A perfect quaint romantic getaway. Excellent location- located far enough away from town to get the countryside feel yet only a 5 minute drive to the supermarket. Deirdre was wonderful-- we couldn't have asked for a better host! She was very helpful, baked us fresh bread, and had a fire started for us when we arrived.
From the moment we arrived Deirdre was very welcoming. The cottage was a real Irish traditional cottage, it was lovely and cosy. It honestly was a perfect getaway break! The location was super as well, very close to Galway city. I would recommend it to anyone, it was a truly enjoyable stay.
A beautiful cottage that looks even more charming than on the pictures. :) The cottage is very romantic and with a warm feeling that fireplace provides. We just loved it there, and we had great time. Deirdre was lovely and very welcoming and full of tips where to go and what to visit. Definitely a place that we would come back to. Thank you Deirdre, and thank you for the bread!! :) Tajana, Tom & Kaia
This cottage was a dream. It's really close to Galway but feels very remote. It's absolutely gorgeous and incredibly cosy - perfect for a quiet holiday. Deirdre was lovely and added some very special touches, including homemade bread and mulled wine. We had a wonderful Christmas in this cottage.
