David's Sausalito condo was in pristine condition, and stunningly beautiful at every turn....from the living room and bedroom views of the bay, to the comfy down beds and couches, and the perfect communication provided by David.........our last minute stay in Sausalito couldn't have been easier or more perfect.
So much appreciation to David and his little Zen palace that he has created for himself, tucked away in the beautiful hills of Sausalito. The condo was also the perfect location for quick visits to the city, and easy access to exploring the breathtaking Marin Headlands....a quick drive to Muir Woods and the scenic Stinson Beach.
We had a fantastic time at David's place. David is a very nice host, flexible, and pleasant. He texted us before the trip to ask about bedding type, coffee choice, which he made available. He gave us access to his whole condo, shared his bikes, suggested nice hikes, and also extended the check out time by a couple of hours. He even left chocolates at the bed. He added a nice touch to everything.
Bed was very comfortable, view was stunning, & jacuzzi was great.

David is a true gentleman who makes you feel welcome and important at every instance. He communicates extremely well and makes sure that your every question is answered before you ask. He has a very enlightened view of the world that pervades his wonderful place. David's condo is such a delight and the very definition of "treasure". At a minimum, the place is as advertised...and at it's best, the condo offers insane vistas of beautiful Sausalito that are impossible to describe. And yes, the Jacuzzi tub is such a comfort that you'll be thinking about a soak the moment you wake.
Thank you for the wonderful review John. It's truly a reflection of your character!
We have just spent a week in Paradise at David's lovely home in Sausalito. The views of San Francisco Bay, Tiburon and Angel Island are spectacular and can be seen from all rooms. David sent emails welcoming us before we arrived and greeted us to show us around and answer any questions. He left us a detailed summary of all we needed to know about our stay. Not only is his home beautifully decorated, it is warm and cozy. David added so many amazing touches such as chocolates, teas, fruit, wine, flowers, and wonderful soaps. We soaked in his large jaccuzi tub by candlelight and appreciated using his washer and dryer. His home is 2 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge and a short walk into Sausalito. The location was perfect. We give David and his home the highest recommendations possible and hope you will have the chance to experience the San Francisco area with David as your gracious host.

We almost had a bad experience with AirBnB in the Bay Area, but David saved the day with his lovely apartment in Sausalito. We'd previously nervously booked what was only our second AirBnB stay away, and our first of more than one night. We paid for flights to SFO - no refund possible. Then we began to get anxious about our original host in San Francisco. The communication was all wrong somehow. To cut a long story short, she cancelled on us with only a week to go until our flight out. At that point we had a very difficult couple of days of trying to find something that looked good out of what was remaining for our dates, or maybe we'd have to resort to a hotel. We found David's place just in time, and we're very glad we did.
We never met, or talked to, David in person, but emails to and fro got us off to a great start again, and we finally travelled in confidence. Our satnav found his place and it was very easy to get there in our hire car (you can cross the Golden Gate bridge into Sausalito without paying a toll so there's no need to worry about that until you arrive). David was away so he left a key in a safe place for us. Lugging our cases down the steep stairs to the front door, when very tired by then, was the only minor drawback on arrival.
His house is just right for a couple like us. It's very easy going and well equipped. The views over Sausalito and the bay are stunning, and it's quite refreshing to live in a house with no curtains and no concerns about who might be looking in. That in itself is a good rest from urban living. Waking up to the lights over the bay or the dense fog the area is famous for is quite an experience. The lounge / kitchen diner is very comfortable, and David has a lovely, slightly retro, stereo system. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a very good dish washer. We also loved the bathroom, using the rain shower a lot while we were there. Clothes washing was easy with the washer and dryer in David's basement. Really, easy all round, just great.
The location is excellent. We could get to all kinds of stores within a fifteen minute drive, and drive to the city, over the bridge, in a little over twenty minutes. Nearby Mill Valley has a fabulous little theatre and many very good eateries. Sausalito itself is over touristy, but nice, and we very easily drove to and from Berkeley and Oakland (driving home at night from Oakland gets you two bridges in one trip - exciting!).
We got some great photos of "the bridge" from the very nearby Battery Spencer and Hawk Hill, and gorgeous panoramic photos around the bay in general.
Ten nights very well spent! Thank you, David.
It was a pleasure having you! So glad you enjoyed your stay. Sorry we didn't get to meet in person.

Thanks for your feedback. I had an unexpectedly lovely stay in Lima. I left wishing I had more time there!
david is a great guest, pleasant, sociable... i fully recommend him for any air bnb hosts.
David was a wonderful guest; he spent a total of 2 nights with us and was great. He was quiet and respectful, got along well with everyone and left the room clean and in good condition. We enjoyed having him here with us and would welcome him back anytime.
Thanks Lyle! I appreciate your feedback, especially given my unfortunate altitude sickness. Thanks for helping me get through that!
