I am a textile designer, teacher and a project manager. I like to go to exhibitions and festivals and have a good overview of what is happening in Iceland in art and cultural context. Please write me if you have any questions regarding the booking.

We (2 Persons) had a really nice 7-nights-stay at Björgs Appartement and we can recommend it to everyone who enjoys it to be pretty much center-located (even though it is a calm 10 min. walk away from the "busy" streets of Reykjavik).
Björg even gave us a ride from the Busstation when we got there, showed us a great fish place on the way and recommend her favourite hot pot spots. Besides that she also provided some extra towels for us, handed us one of the very comfy icelandic pullovers and even cleared her childrens room for us. The flat was very clean and it had empty drowers for us to put stuff in.
Overall to speak: we had a really good time in Reykjavik during the Airwaves and our appartment played a major role in it.
Thanks Björg for letting us live some days in your cozy appartment!
PS. Grocery shopping can be made within a 5 minutes walk .
I had a wonderful stay at Bjorg's flat in Reykjavik!! It was not only a beautiful flat but was in a great location for us to explore the city. The harbour and main shopping/eating areas were about a 5 minute walk, with the bus station about 10, taking us in many excursions. I would recommend the blue lagoon, it was amazing. As well as the golden circle tour which allowed us to see the dramatic landscape of this amazing country. We also went whale watching, which isn't for everyone but we did see a minke whale and a group of dolphins. I must say I was happy to get on dry land as I get sea sick...I didn't think that one through properly.
There is so much more in iceland that I would love to explore, like the glacier and going up to the highlands. I definitely will be back and I have no qualms about staying at Bjorg's place as it was ideal. Only thing I may do differently is eat out less as it was quite expensive and make sure I bought in enough bottles of wine from the liquor shop (we missed the opening times due to the timing of excursions).
All in all iceland is a wonderful place filled with wonderful people and I cannot wait to go back.
We had a wonderful stay at Björgs Apartment! As she was on vacation, she organzied her friend Hjalti picking us up at the bus terminal at 1 a.m.! The apartment is gorgeous and we loved sitting in the big kitchen planning our Iceland trips, cooking and talking ... The Old Harbour and Main Street as well as several supermarkets are just a 10 minutes walk away. This is definately a home far away from home and we love to stay there again ... :-)
A lovely spacious apartment, Björg is a great host, picking us up from the BSI with a brief tour of the main landmarks of Reykjavik.
The apartment itself is situated in a quiet location and within a few minutes walk from the harbour and excellent restaurants. This is very much a family home you are staying in with all personal possessions around and not a stand alone clear holiday rental apartment. My partner often suffers with a bad back when she sleeps in an unfamiliar bed, however the bed in this apartment was extremely comfortable and gave her no problems at all.
We had a great time over our 1 week stay and we would definately love to stay again and we recommend this apartment to you all!
Graham & Amanda.
Bjorg was very generous and helpful to us. She advised on little questions before we left the UK - in our case, where to shop and eat as vegetarians / vegans in the land of the Midnight Hotdog!
She offered to pick us up from the Bus Station at Reykjavik, where the FlyBus from Keflavik International Airport pulled in. She pointed out landmarks on the way. She even bought us some tea and cakes as welcome presents.
The apartment itsself is just as described: a small, family apartment. It is their home, so it is not a 5-star lodging with a posh facade. Rather, it allowed us to feel that we were really living in a local street for a week, with neighbours who were friendly and courteous. We were looking for somewhere less expensive, and did not expect room service, so this apartment was ideal for us.
Thank you, Bjorg, you gave us a lovely home while we were in Iceland!
Our family of 3 stayed in the Little Family Apartment in June 2013. Bjorg's sister picked us up from the Bus station were you get off the airport shuttle. She showed us a few highlights before taking us to the apartment. We had everything we needed and more. The apartment was clean and well equipped so we could cook our meals. Bjorg left us provisions in the fridge which was very kind of her, We were very thankful for this after a long transatlantic flight with a young child. The apartment is well located.just a few minutes down one street takes you to 2 grocery stores. You can walk just minutes to the harbour, or head to the town center in 13 minutes. I would recommend this apartment to others who are looking to enjoy Reykjavik more as a local
Nice apartment, and very quite. Far enough away from the downtown part of the city that you don't hear the noise, yet close enough to be able to walk to everything. Highly recommend
Es una apartamento encantador, muy cerca del centro, te sientes como en casa.
Bjorg was the perfect host, she collected us from the bus station and gave us a quick tour of the local points of interest. Her house is beautiful and full of life and character, very nicely decorated and we really loved the artwork on the walls.
There are two supermarkets within walking distance and you are right next to the sea- which is lovely. You are about 5 min walk from an amazing geothermal swimming pool.
Bjorg went the extra mile to ensure that we were happy and comfortable, and I would definitely stay here again next time I visit Iceland.
Cute appartment right in the heart of Reykjavik. We had a great four day stay at Reykjavik and found the perfect home at Björgs appartment. Björg made sure, that we had everything we needed and all was very well prepared. We'd chose the flat anytime again.
Très bonne expérience, Björg est venue 3 jours avec son ami. Malheureusement nous ne nous somme pas rencontré en direct. Rien à dire, l'appartement était parfaitement propre. Merci. Vous êtes les bienvenus si vous revenez à Paris...
