I was in this place for a month (starting in mid September).
I never saw Gregory (I was in touch with him via email). I was welcomed by a lady that could not speak English. I was asked to sign a contract in French - which is a bit strange as you sign a contract when you reserve through airbnb-
I did not spend much time in the flat; but I should admit it was not the best experience I have had in Paris (I have been to many places in Paris).
The place is quite old (even compared to Paris flats, it really needs a renovation) ; there is mould in the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom hose cannot be fixed, i.e., you always have one of your hands occupied (which I found very inconvenient). About the pictures, there is no couch or keyboard (the couch is replaced by a bed where you sleep). There were other issues with the description of the place that Gregory promised to fix (after my stay, he addressed some of my concerns about the place).
If you stay for a month or so, note that there is only one closet available for you; there are many closets in the place, all of which are locked. This gave me the feeling that the host does not trust his guests (which is also unusual compared to other places I reserved via airbnb). During my one-month stay, I had to buy toilet paper, soap, shampoo, etc. Also, you need to have your own towels as the ones provided are quite small.
On the positive side, the Internet was good (that is an issue in many places in Paris). The neighborhood is live and vibrant; although you might do a research about Bellelville before renting this place.
Oh, and something which was really annoying, there was a construction in the neighborhood; that started as early as 7:30; this was not anyone's fault, but contributed to my bad experience in this place.
I was introduced to the house by Jelena a very kind lady.
Greg's apartment is very nice. Large by Paris standards is neat, clean and well organized.
The only real problem i encoutered is with door at the entrance of the apartment. It has been relatively difficult to open since the beginning, but toward my second week in the house it became impossible to lock it (probably due to the humidity of the season). Indeed, It was possible just to close the door, but not to lock it. I signaled the problem but it was not fixed before i left.
Essentially this was not a big issue (as it was still difficult to get, in without the keys, for a stranger) but it was at the very least an annoyance.
Our stay wasn't that bad mostly because we were out of the apartment all day, only sleeping and eating breakfast there.
The studio is *really* mouldy. There's mould in the bathroom and in the kitchen. When you close the door to the bathroom for some time and then go in, there is a distinctive foul smell. Here are some pictures that we've taken in the apartment:

Also, in the living room there's this:
Before our plane departed, we had contacted Jelena via SMS telling her that our plane was delayed. Nobody told us that she wasn't our keyholder. In the e-mail we got from Greg, she was set as the keyholder. She didn't respond to any of our texts (there were 3 - before and after we arrived in Paris). We had to contact Greg directly to find out, there's another lady.
My boyfriend is allergic to mould and he had some hard time living there.
Apart from that, the view from the window (Sacre Coeur) is quite nice and the price wasn't that bad. But I definitely wouldn't rent this studio another time.
Also, on the first day of our stay, a lady from downstairs came to us and told us that when we take a shower, water leaks on her walls. Abysmal state of sanitary installation explains why there is mould everywhere.
Oh, and I don't want to elaborate on things like: dirty carpet and walls, that if you sit on the side of the bed, you should watch out, the cleanliness of the cutlery, the fridge that works like a Russian tank (very loud). Because these things could just be assigned as "quirks" of the apartment.
And we are quite amazed by the positive reviews here -- perhaps they were written before the mould grew?
Greg's place is great! The apartment has a wonderful view and it included everything that we needed (internet, kitchen, blankets, etc.). It's close to downtown and not very far from everything that you would want to see. Contacting the host was no problem and everything went very smoothly. And you can't beat the price! It is one of the cheapest by far. The best place to stay in Marseille! :-)
Hola! Greg was a very nice guy (by phone) and Jelena attended us very kindly, so we have had a very good stay. The flat was properly equipped with all we needed (fridge, micro-wave, internet, enough towels and bed sheets, and some basic ingredients for cooking are even there). The street where the flat is located is close to many restaurants (mainly asiatic), the Buttes Chaumont and the Canal St-Martin. The view from the window is really nice at sunset and sunrise. It was a pleasure to stay here!
We enjoyed our stay at Gregory's apartment, high up with a fairly good view of Notre Dame. The room gets very hot as it's the top floor but nice big open windows to counteract the heat.
We stayed in this apartment for a month. It's really nice studio that has all the necessary amenities for living. Near a lot of different shops, several boulangerie. There are also several shops that operate around the clock. Near the house there is a laundry. Nearest underground is in 5 minutes on foot. The house is very conveniently located between two parks where you can walk or run. We liked that the apartment has heating throughout the year, that is if the weather is bad and the house is cold, the battery can be turn on. Every evening we enjoyed the view from the window - it is a sunset on the Sacre Coeur, it is extraordinarily beautiful! Thank you very much Gregory and Jelena! This is a very kind and friendly people who can help in any matters. We recommend this apartment!

Trés bon emplacement avec vue sur Notre Dame de la garde, on remercie notre hôte!
studio très simpa, plutot grand, propre et confortable. On a passé trois jours magnifique. Dans le quartier il y a une boulangerie et un supermarché près du studio. Le metro est à 5 minutes à pied et le vieux port à 20 minutes. Et la gerant de cles Noelle est très gentille! Je le conseille!
