Staying with LouLou was a real pleasure. Elvis her dog was a very special bonus. I was welcomed with wine, snacks and great conversation! Her home is beautifully decorated but also super comfortable. The recommendations Loulou gave us were all spot on.especially the Getty museum which wasn't even on our radar! I couldn't recommend her more as a hostess:-)
This place was perfect to spend two full days right next to the beach. It's a bit off the main boardwalk - which is great, the area around the house was calm and provided relief from the craziness on the beach. The house is exactly 30 seconds from the beach, and restaurants nearby. There's parking space right outside the house, and it's free unlimited parking over the weekend.
Loulou was lovely! She helped us out providing a list of popular eats and places to see, and the house is like described. Very clean and our area was well separated from the rest of the house. Elvis was a friendly companion too! Loved our stay, and we'll be back soon!
Loulou & Elvis (the dog) are incredible.
From Loulou saving a parking space right out front of the house for my arrival to providing me a key and letting me tend to personal/business related stuff as needed on my own throughout my stay, both her and her home are very welcoming.
The house is a historic bungalow right in the center of the action in Venice, CA. Having wanted to experience Venice for a while, the houses location contributed to a quintessential Venice experience.
The beach, basketball courts, boardwalk and skate park are a short walk away. Plus, sitting on the porch and watching the ingress/egress of beach goers all day is a pleasant perch to watch the world spin from.
The sitting room up front made for a great place to conduct work and the bedroom and bathroom were plenty comfortable and private (not the Ritz, but very much Venice).
I would recommend Loulou's home to anyone interested in a mellow stay in Venice.
Loulou has a really beautiful house in an excellent location in Venice, extremely close to the beach. She is very warm, friendly, welcoming and hospitable and Elvis, her pooch, is great too. Would definitely recommend.
Staying with Loulou was nothing but amazing. From the minute I walked in I felt right at home. She was incredibly responsive to all my messages, offered to save me a seat at dinner, and made some amazing oatmeal for breakfast. There were fresh towels, soap, clean sheets, and even a bottle of wine! She also has a really sweet, loving dog named Elvis who has the most badass haircut I have ever seen.
My only regret is that I didn't get to stay longer. My next trip to LA will definitely be at Loulou's house!
LouLou was an amazing host, she treated me like an extension of her family. LouLou was incredibly accommodating and she immediately made me feel comfortable in her home. The house is beautifully designed and looks exactly as it's displayed in the pictures. The location couldn't be better, it's right in the center of Venice and a short walk to the boardwalk/beach/canals.
Elvis, the house Poodle, was my best friend in Venice. Elvis is such a well behaved dog, he doesn't bark, he's not annoying, he's really cool and just wants to sit near you. I really enjoyed my stay with LouLou and Elvis. I would highly recommend staying with LouLou when traveling to LA.
