The house is nice with most of what you will need for a comfortable stay. It is just convenient for three people. The location is wonderful and lively. However it is located in one of the costliest areas of Paris and hence hits a little hard on your pockets. Other than that there is an issue that you have to stay silent after 10 so it is a little problematic if you like partying at your apartment.
Rest everything was great and I really enjoyed staying there.
The appartment is great. I stayed there with my two girlfriends. There was only one bad part - no lift so if you have a heavy luggage...Everything else was ok. Maxime is very nice, he show us around, the neibourhood is good, very close to the city center!
Lovely little apartment! Very easy to get around with metro and I love that part of town. I would definitely recommend!
Maxime is a lovely guy and the apartment is (email hidden)ly and authentic location in Montmartre. Initially we were looking for a place closer to the centre in the Marais or even Latin Quarter, but we really enjoyed the energy and vibe of Montmartre and it was easy to get around Paris using the subway. Without children we would have just used bikes and walked everywhere anyway.
The area can be noisy and rowdy at night, but the apartment does not face the street, with windows opening internally. So it wasn't a problem at all for us, and it feels secure once inside. Some of the decor is groovy and rustic, which I like. There is one bedroom area, and the main bed is comfortable, and the apart is very cosy without a door to the living area. The sofa bed is not comfortable at all and squeaks every time someone rolls slightly, so not good for light sleepers. We had lots of musical beds with the kids! For a couple it would be fine though. As non smokers we had to give the place a good airing. The kitchen is very basic without an oven and slow elements so not worth relying on for any substantial cooking. Having a washing machine was great.
Maxime was helpful pointing out some good shops in the neighborhood. There are superb bakeries, wine and cheese shops and an Italian deli. The Internet didn't work for a day which was frustrating as we really needed it, but Maxime came to fix it the next day. Overall we really loved Paris and enjoyed being in Montmartre. Walking around the area and Sacre Coeur there is a really groovy and creative Parisian vibe. I would stay there again knowing what to expect. Good luck with lovely Paris!
