I am a professor at University Wisconsin-Milwaukee, trying to teach students electrical engineering and physics among vibrant and gorgeous corn fields of Southern Wisconsin. Originally from exotic lands of mysterious Europe, I moved to USA 4 years ago and since then have been on the quest to explore all of its wanders.

I've been travelling all over the states and visited most of the major cities. My favorite so far are NYC, SF, Seattle and San Diego. I guess I am a west coast person deep inside :) Despite being a city person, I enjoyed hiking and outdoors very much. I hiked in Rocky Mountains in CO, Cascades in WA (one day I am going to summit Mt Rainier), Sequoias National Park in CA, Appalachian trail in PA. Mountains are just awesome.

Long-distance running and swimming is my life. I did marathon and multiple half-marathons. Marathons are a tad too boring to my taste. My goal is to break 1h30m in half-marathon. Triathlon is on the bucket list. Knowing how to bike would definitely help with achieving this goal. And I have to finally learn how to snowboard! Ultimate frisbee and soccer are also a lot of fun.

When the winter pushes me inside I push it back and then go to the concerts. Symphony, ballet, opera and broadway shows are my first choice. Not a stranger to a rock concert either. Can't live without music. And dancing. I am taking ballroom dance lessons. Not good at this at all, tango, cha-cha, swing, waltz are so much fun. Hopefully, I still have time to learn :)

I wish I can say that I'd like to spend my free time with a good book. But I am really not :) Not a big fan of fiction. Though, I do like books about history. I am really interested in the medieval period. But in general, life is too much fun to spend time in imaginary worlds.
