aloha im a commercial diver. I have been living in waialua for about 3 1/2 years now. i love the neighborhood its the perfect location, very quiet with beach so close.
Phenomenal location right next to the beach, where you can snorkel and see dozens of turtles hanging out! Amazing secret that only the local residents seem to know. Everything you need is in this place. No A/C though, so if this is a dealbreaker, you should know that. But the weather is plenty cool with the ceiling fans.
One note: The apt is on the 3rd floor, so if you're carrying a small baby and/or lots of stuff, it is a bit of a hike.
What a fantastic little place! The condo is very well decorated, clean, and newly renovated. Casey has thought of every little extra possible to take your stay to the next level. Having things like an assortment of shampoos and conditioners, sunscreen of all levels, aloe vera, dvds, fishing rods, and the BEST beach chairs we have ever used. The building may appear to be a little sketchy looking from the outside but it is completely safe and absolutely beautiful inside! The location is perfect, you can be strolling along the streets of Haleiwa within a 5 minute drive and if there is a big swell you can be at pipeline checking out the surf in 15minutes. We spent all of our days on the beach, took advantage of the fishing rods a couple of nights at sunset, and then the big comfy bed was perfect to crash on. There isn't any air conditioning, but there is a really nice breeze with the condo on the top floor. We really loved the neighbourhood, quiet, peaceful, and no tourism. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks :D
This was our first time utilizing airbnb and we can't say enough good things about the service and the fantastic first impression Casey made on us. Everything was even better than described in Casey's description of the property. If you want the "country living" experience on Oahu, the Northshore Beachside Condo will be a good match for you. If you crave skyscrapers and upscale shopping, try for something closer to Honolulu. The small tidy condo is well equipped for any trip to the beach or for making a good meal. Casey has thought of nearly everything to make your stay a pleasant one. We loved seeing the sea turtles at the nearby public beach access and we're already missing the off the beaten path North Shore location. We'll be back!
My boyfriend I stayed here for 3 nights, and we absolutely LOVED the place! Casey really thought of everything when putting this one together. It truly felt like being at home. Everything we could have possibly needed was supplied (beach towels/chairs/snorkeling gear, kitchen supplies, even sunscreen/aloe/shower supplies... YOU NAME IT)! The location was great, and everything was SUPER clean! The unit is located on the top level of a 3-floor apartment-style building, so there was always a cool breeze. I would certainly recommend this to anyone traveling to the North Shore! I would go back and stay here again in a heartbeat! AWESOME VALUE! We wish we would have stayed here longer, rather than spending 1/2 our trip in Waikiki!
This is the place to stay! We were delighted in the decor and all the extras the condo had to offer; wifi, huge flat screen tv's, sunscreen, beach towels, beach chairs, coffee..etc! All you need is your bathing suit! The neighborhood is super mellow and relaxed. Our last morning there we took our coffee and walked to the beach and were greeted as if we lived there. This is definitely the place to stay.
Thanks for the memories,we had a great time. The proximity to the beach was super and the paddleboard was (website hidden) is lighter than you think,so give it a try.Hopefully saved a sea turtles life when we called Deep Ecology out to rescue one with a tumor.
This area reminded me of Arcats ,Ca. suburbs for some reason.Of course with a superior climate. You are a 5 -10 minute deive from Haleiwa, cool little town.We shopped at Safeway before coming out and bought lots of water,it s 3-4 bucks A gallon outside of the Honolulu area.
Check out Waimea Valley Botanical Garden, and of course the epic North Shore Waves. We ate the best snowcone at Morimotos'.Tastes like real snow.
The seclusion of Waialua is what the doctor ordered for sure. The bus system is awesome between Waialua and Haleiwa. The 76 goes back and forth all day, howlie. The primitive ,jurassic nature of Mo'olokai beach ,with its staring lava rocks and volcanic ,thick mud made me crave to ditch my kids and just hike, hike, hike. But alas,I will be back.
The place is smallish and very clean and fairly quiet so if you want to crank tunes late or play your TV loud this is not for you.The Airbnb community usually knows that they are a guest in a home with permanent neighbors usually.
.We slept early because we were tired from all the activity.Beach going is relaxingly exausting.Sawa turtles from the paddleboard, getting his free swim on.We felt like we lived there for one brief ,shining moment. Thanks ,Casey!
Casey's place is absolutely fantastic. It was exactly as pictured and was sparkling clean. The thoughtful extras like the snorkel gear, towels, and extra sunscreen were very welcome. It was a great place to come home to each day, and even better to be able to walk to the beach right around the corner and have a glass of wine while watching the sun set. It's also an easy drive to several tasty restaurants. Casey's place was the favorite place we stayed throughout our vacation-- thanks, Casey!
Clean, quite, and steps from the beach. A great place to get away!
We really enjoyed our stay in Casey's condo on the North Shore. It was quiet and close to the beach. It was also only a short drive to Haleiwa Town and all the other amazing beaches. The condo was impeccably clean and beautifully renovated. It really felt like home after a long day out and about. Casey was a great host and was always available if anything came up. We really appreciated all the extra gear available in the condo, the paddle board and snorkel gear especially. There are plenty of beach towels and so much more. It was the perfect place for our country getaway.
Me and my boyfriend stayed at Casey's North Shore condo in Waialua for three nights. It is a cozy renovated apartment 5 minutes away from a private beach where we found a sea turtle sunning himself and a few more turtles swimming close to shore. Park spot is available, but there is also street parking. There is a full kitchen that we used to cook up breakfast, and a comfortable bed. Cable TV and a few DVDs are available. The condo is located in a quiet residential neighborhood about 10 minutes from Haleiwa - cute town with restaurants and shops. Beach chairs and beach towels available to use, and plenty of bath towels to use. Coin laundry was handy as well. Sink in bathroom had some issues draining on our last night and a loose towel rack fixture, but small issues. Overall, a great place to stay in the North Shore!
