The description of the house and neighborhood were accurate. Not much going on in Glen Park, but a few nice restaurants and easy access to the BART are great. The host was friendly and relatively responsive.
Just a couple of issues:
1. The wifi was terrible. The host did replace the router however it never worked reliably and was a constant source of frustration. If you are only there for a short time this might not matter, but since I was staying there for 12 weeks it had a very negative impact on my experience.
2. The small fridge was bad. Frost made the freezer completely unusable and the fridge itself was not able to keep things cold enough. Again, probably not an issue if you aren't staying for a long period.
This home is great for a family traveling with older children. We loved the view and found parking and using the public transportation easy.
This a great private cottage on a quiet street. I really enjoyed my time here, a beautiful view. The cottage is pretty well-stocked and perfect for an individual or a couple. The local neighborhood is also terrific, try the Thai and Japanese restaurants. I also enjoyed my time at the local Glen Park Station watering hole. Thank you to my hosts for making the cottage available to me.
This was a great place to stay. As a single woman just relocating to San Francisco, it couldn't have been more convenient. A short walk to a charming village with almost everything you could want right there, including BART and Muni. The apartment has a workable kitchen with a full size gas stove (but only a half size refrigerator - one of the few drawbacks). The bed is comfy and the shower has great hot water and great water pressure. There is a small sitting area where you can watch tv or just gaze out the window at the fantastic view over looking city and mountains. There is a nice bookcase and a good size closet for storage. In all, highly recommended!
The description was very accurate to what we saw online. I thought the neighborhood was very cute and clean with lots of amenities near by, great location! We had a rental car and always found a spot right in front of our location to park, luck maybe but it worked out perfectly! We would def come back to the Glen Park Cottage.
The guest cottage was very comfortable and just as listed. It was quiet and had a lovely view. The neighborhood was walkable and parking was easy to come by. It was the perfect spot for our visit (2 adults & 1 kid). We'll certainly be back!
The description was very accurate! The cottage was super cozy and perfect for me, my boyfriend and our doggie! The neighborhood is really safe and it's very close to the BART station. There are a lot of cute cafes & restaurants to check out nearby as well. It has an incredible view of the city! Also, it was very clean and well kept. I definitely recommend!
The place was clean and bare essentials were provided. I never met my host, but called her to get the WIFI to work. There was nothing welcoming nor personal. I had trouble getting into the door with the keys provided in the mailbox as they were not marked I had to search through the locks. The stairs to go down are dangerous in the dark if you have luggage. The West Elm furniture has lost its charm after years of usage. Too highly priced. I will not recommend the 'cottage' because I think this owner is just in it for the $$ and should reach out to provide better, more welcoming service.
The cottage is cozy and nice. It is not far from center. But you might need a car to drive around，otherwise，you will have to hike on the hill road. Dana is very nice and kind lady. She had been very helpful to solve the little problem （which is the connection of WIFI）. I had an enjoyable stay.
Our stay at the guest cottage was great! The hosts were helpful when contacted but otherwise gave us total privacy, which was just what we wanted. I recommend doing some poking around the cottage when you arrive-- I missed the trash can liners until the last day so we were using a paper bag. Oops! I loved that there were plenty of kitchen utensils so we could save some money by cooking in. There's one window without a curtain, which felt a little weird, but there didn't seem to be any direct sight lines to the sleeping area, so that was ok. The "bedroom" window has a GORGEOUS VIEW :-) the place overall is tidy and well-kept, even if some of the furniture has some wear and tear on it.
Although there are usually parking spots on the street, it's only for 4 hours at a time 9-5. I had been to this neighborhood before so I knew where I could leave my car for longer stretches of time. Guests newer to the neighborhood might need to do more exploring to find these spots, so plan ahead.
Super convenient location for taking BART. Big hill to walk up if you are coming back on foot. I think there's a bus you can take to avoid it but it's such a short walk it seems silly to wait for the bus unless it's really difficult for you.
Great experience overall -- this guest cottage is a perfect home base for exploring the city with some nights or mornings in.
