The location is excellent and it is easy to explore the beaches, restaurants & shops in Montecito and easily get to Santa Barbara attractions. There are a plenty of stores on Coastal Village Road and East Valley for stocking up anything you need. The cooking is limited to a hot plate so plan to eat out or make simple dishes. Light sleepers may find the noise from 101 a bother or may want to have some small speakers for music to cancel out the freeway hum.
Great location as is nicely located less than a mile to downtown Montecito and the beach. Walk a few blocks and you reach the ocean. Very nice experience to sit and relax or stroll. Everything you need is conveniently located at very close proximity. Kyra was very lovely and gracious. She provides bicycles, covered parking, your private drive, all the necessities of home with tons of extra blankets and pillows. Wake up in the morning and have a cup of french pressed coffee. The apartment is beautifully decorated and I just loved being there! Hope to stay here again!
Super great place !!!! Very clean and comfortable . And the best part is that it's literally five mins away from the beach... Walking distance !!! We used the cruisers to go down to butterfly beach so much fun :-) would most definatly stay there again !
The place was spotless and the location was great in terms of proximity to the beach and the event which we were attending at the Four Seasons. The cottage was also fully stocked with plates, glasses, silverware, wine opener, coffee, pots, an induction portable stove, french press, and mini fridge. The host was kind enough to leave a little creamer in the fridge for the morning coffee - a very nice touch.
The cottage was right off the 101 freeway. While this was super convenient for quick access, you could hear the traffic but it wasn't too terrible, specially at night. We went on a particularly hot weekend, and the cottage has no AC and just a little fan in the bedroom - during the day, it was pretty hot. However, since the place is right by the ocean, it cooled off a lot at night to the point where I had to close the windows.
Lastly, because it was so hot, I had to open the windows, which some (especially right by the bed) didn't have a screen - so I was worried about bugs flying in - but they didn't or I didn't notice.
Overall, the place was perfect for what we needed. We were traveling with a baby and the separate spaces were ideal for having a sitter or just being able to hang out while baby napped. Also, although we brought our own pack & play, they also had one available. The owner was also very accommodating regarding our baby sitters.
Wow - this was such a fabulous location near the beach with easy access to shops etc - I was able to walk everywhere.
The hosts were quick to help me in any way they could - and kindly left a bicycle for my use.
This place is great for a short stay in Santa Barbara and the Montecito location is a huge plus.
Our stay was just about perfect. The house was clean, sunny, and extremely quiet. The key was there when we arrived, and we did not meet the hosts, but that was fine with us. The beach and a nice walking path are a few minutes walk away. Nice restaurants and a grocery store are a 2-minute drive away. And downtown Santa Barbara was a 5-minute drive away. Could not ask for more!
This studio is located in a lovely, beautiful, quiet neighborhood just minutes from the ocean. The studio has a nice living room area, small kitchenette, bathroom, and bedroom. The studio was clean and comfortable. State Street and the Wharf in Santa Barbara are a 20-30 minute bike ride away or a 7 minute drive. The Monticeito area where this studio is located has nice restaurants and shops.
A couple of items to note - the studio is located very close to Highway 101 and you can hear it. The driveway is longer and narrow with a small carport for parking. Nice to have off-street parking however; we were traveling in an SUV with a bike rack and bikes on the back making it a bit tight. Only an issue if you have a larger car.
Jean was very responsive to our queries. We never met her which worked just fine for us as everything was good to go in the studio when we arrived including friendly tips of what to do while in Santa Barbara!
This is exactly what we were looking for! Nice and quiet area and just a short easy walk to a great beach. The mini fridge and microwave were nice to make easy snacks/meals, and there are some great restaurants a short drive away. Easy access to the 101 and just a few exits from Santa Barbara. We were definitely very happy we chose this over an over-priced hotel room.
My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights in Jean's attached studio for his 30th birthday, both of us loved it! The space is just as described, and pictures are true to life. The studio is only one block from the beach, and Jean provided towels and a blanket to take! Great place to stay, lots of little touches, cozy and private. The studio is within a few minutes to downtown Montecito, and just a couple of miles from downtown SB. Ate at Lucky's and Los Agaves (a must!). We both said that we would love to stay here again!
the little house is just perfect!! super chic and sunny, very close to the beach, 5 min by car away from shops, the area has amazing houses, is very nice! the host was so kind, we loved the place!!!
