I live in this beautiful neighborhood for several years, and i'll be glad to share with you my good addresses!
It is a very cosy flat with an wonderful view over the roofs of Paris. Great location for a visit in the town. And Corinne is a charming host, who explains everything. Thank you for the restaurants, we should visit and everything else... It was very nice talking with Corinne.
Excellent experience for the perfect novice I was.
Corinne is a welcoming and helpfull person, giving clear indications as to how to get to the appartment, and even leaving small welcoming attentions on the table.
Her appartement's main pleasure was its calm and silence, ideal to rest at the end of a long day's work as mine were. And located two steps away from nice streets with a great diversity of restaurants, shops, a good bakery almos around the corner...
Have a nice stay !
Location: excellent location, because you are close to the metro Bastille and the apartment is located on the quiet side of the building.
Ambiance: you can experience the 'Amelie Poulain' feeling in the apartment. I bought some flowers and candles add some atmosphere. You also get a lot of light in the apartment with the morning sun.
Service: everything was there and it was super clean. Corinne left a little carepackage ready for us. Also Corinne is always clear in her communication, so there were no hickups at all.
Just one little caution: it is located on the 5th floor without an elevator in the building, so pack light ;)
Big thumbs up for Corinne!!
Mostly shabby, less than chic. I guess this is the state of things in Paris, but really, this apt needs attention. Shower goes scalding to cold, toilet seat broken, lights not working, bed is an old metal frame couch with reed matting stapled to wall as headboard, minifridge freezer frozen over with old food and I needed to defrost to use etc. Corinne left a beautiful bouquet and some lovely teas, biscuits etc, but there were a number of things that need repair...and look like they have for some time. I wrote her privately to address some of these things as she should if she wants to continue running this as a business. Unfortunately she used this review as a reason to give me bad feedback as a guest! The apt is near the Marais which (email hidden) for me, with easy access to metro line 1 which takes you where you will want to go, and close to seine and st. germaine...
We just got back from our short trip to Paris, and Corinne's place was perfect. Well located in my favorite neighborhood, Le Marais (and just as close to Place de Vosges as promised), right next to the Bastille metro, a charming little apartment. We didn't get to meet Corinne (our flight kept getting changed due to a Air Traffic Controller strike in France), but she gave us clear directions and left a selection of Madelienes and tea out for us. There's a lot of stairs to get up, if that's a problem for anybody, but it was just fine for us. Would absolutely stay there again with no question.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We had a lovely time in a very typical Paris flat in an amazing location and lovely view of rooftops. Be prepared for 5 flights of stairs which again is typical Paris! Having a bath was definitely a plus for me. Only down side was the pull out bed which is not very comfy but we still had a great stay. Corinne is the best host, very open and friendly and so thoughtful, leaving us really nice tea and biscuits. She made us feel very welcome and at home.
The best things about this apartment are the location and the fact that Corinne is very attentive and nice. The neighborhood has a lot of stuff to do and is within easy walking distance of major sites like the Notre Dame. The metro is very close by and has stops for the major line running through Paris toward the Louvre and other destinations.
The apartment itself is a little pedestrian. There isn't much sitting room (no couch, just a small but comfortable chair, some dining chairs, and the bed). The kitchen worked well. The shower in the bedroom was an interesting experience, but it worked well. I recommend the place for its affordability and truly, Corinne was a pleasure to deal with.
Excellent base to enjoy Paris, Corrine left us some welcome breakfast and was able to help out with an email query.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a small two person stop in Paris
