Plantation Paradise is a wonderful place to escape. Although it's nestled in a suburban neighborhood with easy access to Costco, Whole Foods, Target, and other major shopping, the house itself is very private and tranquil. There is a beautiful view of the waterfront and the pool is a great place to relax.
The house itself is quite large and had plenty of room for our group to stay. We spent our entire visit chilling at the pool, fishing off the small pier, and grilling.
All of us enjoyed our time there and would love to return at sometime in the future for another break from wintery weather.
We had one minor issue but with a single call to the host, they were over to fix it in less than an hour. The hosts seem like wonderful people who were willing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
Great location and charming house! Carol was very helpful in recommending places for dinner. The best coffee spit in SMA is just a few steps from the front door!
I stayed here with two other friends during our short stay in San Miguel for a wedding. Carol was always very quick to respond and made sure the maid was there to meet us when we arrived. The listing and photos are accurate and the house is in a great central location! One thing to note is that you must go through the half bedroom on the lofted second level to get to the Master Bedroom. It is also located adjacent to the street, so can be quite loud at all hours. I would recommend ear plugs for a light sleeper. Since there were many events planned, we unfortunately did not get to spend much time in the house and roof patio, but it had all the necessities and was a good value for our stay.
The host canceled this reservation 84 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Plantation Paradise is a terrific home. We stayed a week for a family wedding in Ft. Lauderdale. Each of our four young adult children and their partners came and went. The house is very comfortable and there are ample supplies of linens.
The kitchen is extremely well equipped for a rental--blender, food processor, mixer, toaster, coffee maker, and so on. There was even a rolling pin and a couple of pie plates. When my sister wanted a whisk to make eggs, sure enough, I opened a drawer and there was a whisk. The layout of the island kitchen also makes it easy for two or three cooks to work at once.
We only watched a few minutes of television but the audio visual equipment seemed to work fine. And our kids noted the collection of sci fi and other novels on the book shelves.
The location offers easy entry to 595, and then to the turnpike or 95 north or south. There is lots of shopping nearby. The neighborhood is pleasant for walking.
In short, I highly recommend this home.
Such easy and great guests! Everything was quickly and easily taken care of - great communication, friendly, clean. We would love to have them back!
Carol (and Mike) will be wonderful hosts and are able to provide a wealth of information about San Miguel. Carol has been visiting San Miguel all her life and they now live there full-time so they have lots of important connections that will be of use to travelers.
