From Halifax, Nova Scotia. Always planning the next trip! Thailand and New York are top return destinations for me. Also always planning my next meal! Eating at great local spots is a high point of every trip.

It was a charming cottage and we enjoyed our stay. Doug's directions were great and even though we arrived after dark found it easily. We did expect some breakfast provisions though and had to go out and buy something although our host was very generous and left 2 bottles of wine.
Doug and Robin are very experienced hosts who know exactly what it takes to make a cottage feel welcoming and cozy! The listing is accurate and yet doesn't fully describe how cute, cozy and quirky the cottage is too. The directions were easy to follow, and the cottage is perfectly located for anything you could want -- the water is RIGHT THERE and yet beautiful Wolfville and wineries are just minutes away by car. There's lots of dry firewood for the fireplace, and they sweetly left us two bottles of wine. All the little notes everywhere made everything easy to find. Check in and out was a breeze.
I'd definitely recommend this cottage to anyone from here or "from away". The combination of cottage, scenery, location, and peaceful ocean sounds is unbeatable. My little weekend 'staycation' was perfect!
Doug and Robin made us feel welcome with two bottles of wine and a fire place that was ready to go, there were little notes everywhere to answer any questions that we might have. We loved the view from the sun room and the coziness of the living room - we made use of the board games with our daughter and loved the rockers by the fireplace in the evening. A great character filled location to explore the Valley and a wonderfully relaxing way to end our two weeks of camping and backpacking!
Myself and 3 friends needed an escape from the city hustle and found it here at Doug's. The directions he gave us were easy to follow and the pictures did not do justice to this lovely, unique cottage. It was very cosy, with a beautiful stone fireplace, and antique furniture. The grounds, out back, were plentiful, and the view overlooking Evangeline Beach, with the sunset, was breath taking. The place was equipped with everything you would need and then some.
Thanks soo much Doug, for a wonderful, relaxing week-end.
P.S. The wines were delicious....

Our stay at Doug and Robin's cabin couldn't have been better. From our first exchange, to the warm welcome of wine and friendly notes on our arrival, Doug is a wonderful host. The cottage is cozy and quaint and exactly what we had hoped for: simple and stunning accommodations on the Bay. You can hear the lap of the ocean at night, lulling you to sleep, as the coastal breeze comes through the large front windows. Neighbours are close, friendly and quiet and the sunsets here are of the best in the world (even on a grey day). We enjoyed a most incredible weekend and as we frequent Nova Scotia, we would definitely stay here again.
From one month that Doug booked the room he stay probably 1 week maximum. And in additional is very intelligent guest. Of course i recommend :)
