hello, It's amazing to meet people through Airbnb. I have several new friends around world now ....
Ale was one of the best hosts we've ever had! He was there to help us both when we arrived and when we were leaving, and was very accommodating. The apartment is really nice (especially the beautiful ceiling) and very conveniently laid out. The location was perfect for us since we wanted to be in the middle of the Marais, and the nearest subway station is right at the end of the street. Even the weather was much better than we expected during our visit, which I'm not sure we can give Ale credit for, but maybe staying with him brought us good luck on that front too.
Had a good stay at Ale's place - highly recommend it. Location is great and flat very comfortable.
Ale is very responsible and communicative. Firstly I sent a message around 15:00 and he quickly replied so that I could book for that night, which was surely very tight for him but he kindly accepted. Location is excellent. His flat is very clean and cool! Loved it!
We were really happy with Ale's apartment it is ideal for a couple. The Marais area is a real gem, every corner you turn you will find something fun and interesting. You are also walking distance from all the big monuments' and shops in Paris. we will be back.
Interesting flat, smallish but pretty much what Ale said it would be. He's an accomodating host and we'd definitely stay there again. The flat was a little cold and the sofa bed is not the most comfortable but otherwise a great place to stay. It even has a bath which is a rarity for Paris
I really enjoyed staying at Ale's place. The flat was very beautiful and unique. Ale was a very welcoming host. The flat was well heated. I would only say that if you are over 1.78 that the shower and loft ceiling might be too low, but it was totally fine for me at 1.77.
The location is very good, as I enjoy the restaurants and brasseries on Rue de Bretagne, and it is close to many metro stations.
I will stay here again.
Ale was great. The apartment was clean and great location.
Very nice host.
This was such a nice address, right in the heart of the Marais (and close to Merci and BonTon). Ale is a lovely, gentle person, and will leave you to it. His house is cosy and comfortable. This was our first Airb&b experience, and we really enjoyed the pros over booking a hotel.
I stayed at Ale's lovely apartment for 5 days in January and the experience was great. Ale was helpful and responsive from the beginning, answered my questions about the apartment, which gave me an impression of that, he is a responsible owner.
We organised to meet at the cafe just around the corner from his apartment, and he showed up within 5 mins after I texted him. The location is fantastic, a big carrefour supermarket (big supermarket is rare in Paris) is within 5 mins walk, or small grocery stores literally everywhere around the apartment, as well as endless restaurants, cafes, artisan boulangerie (yum) and "Merci" concept store. It's simply a great location to experience the "real" Parisian lifestyle without fall into the tourist traps, like one usually gets around the hotel.
The apartment is neither big or too small, it is conformtable for me as I am travelling alone. if you are a group of 4 or more, it might be a little "crowded". the ceilings are low in the mezzenine and shower room as previous visitors pointed out. I am 5'11 and it is no problem for me. Little problem with hot water the first day, but Ale fixed it as soon as I told him. Tall windows for nature light that looks into the courtyard, amazing 17th century wooden beams ceiling that all my friends commented on when they visited me at the apartment. There were a few heaters in the apartment, temperature was pleasant inside during winter. Kitchen had induction cooker but I didn't get a chance to use it. Fridge, kettle and microwave were available. Wireless internet was working fine. Hot shower was powerful (big + ). Door was operated by security code so there is no key. A small negative was I could hear the footsteps from the floor above the ceiling, but there wasn't any obvious noise that enough to really bother me.
For recommendation on where to eat around the apartment, "il prezzemolo" 13 rue communes 75003 makes the best pizzas and pasta, and that I was told by the local people where I met in the restaurant who had been to Italy! You are going to thank me for this ;) There is an artisan boulangerie in the end of the street where the apartment is, that makes really delicious tarts and sweets. "le march des enfant rouge" in rue de beauce sell local produces and seafoods. There is also a cheese shop nearby that is really amazing, try their glass bottled yoghurt! And there rest, are for you to discover..
It's the second time I welcome Ale in my apartment and I am again pleased by his manner. He is communicative, polite and clean and leaves the home in order (sorted waste collection included, so great!)
I really hope to welcome him again and again.
The perfect place to stay in Paris. Extremely close to the Metro, walking distance to Place des Vosges, Marais restaurants and bakeries, and unique shopping. The flat itself is stunning, with high ceilings, ornate painted beams, tile flooring, and charming decor. It was clean and secure, giving the feeling of a home away from home. Alex was very accomodating, pleasant, and punctual, making the stay effortless and easy with his knowledge of the area. The price is very reasonable for the ammenities provided. Highly recommended.
