Absolutely loved my time here! I stayed in Bulan. The room was perfect and provided a secluded area to unwind. The outdoor shower was lovely and even a hammock on the front porch. The pool was amazing and the views were even better. Also the staff was so helpful and warm. Will definitely return later in life :)
Such a cute bungalow. It's cozy and perfect for a couple or solo. Not much room for 2-3 pieces of luggage. Air conditioning was great and strong water pressure along with hot water. The shower drains a bit slow. Cleaned bed sheets and towels. I stayed in bungalow #10 and wifi was working just fine. The infinity pool lights automatically turns on in the evening. Great pool to do laps; It get deeps as 6.5 feet. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The watermelon drink upon arrival was so refreshing ! Customer service is on point and extremely courteous. There's small little bugs that goes thru the cracks of the cabin , overall it a great experience considering it's all made of wood.
I was made very welcome by the staff member, Wayan on my arrival, with a welcome drink and big happy smile.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, largely because the staff were so helpful, polite and attentive. Breakfasts were delicious and freshly prepared to order. The whole resort is beautifully designed and planted. The photograph on AirBnB must have been taken a while back because the plants now look stunning all around the villas and the pool. The Villa Bulan, though very close to the pool and breakfast pavilion, is set behind its own 'Bali-style gate', with a water feature and private terrace. It is very nicely presented and very clean. The 3 glass walls made it hard to block out the sounds of the cicadas, frogs and other creatures at night!
The Joglo Tamansari are quaint bungalows set at the end of a street about a 10 minutes walk to the main street in Ubud. The staff was friendly and helpful and the morning breakfast was divine and such a treat each day. As a lone traveler, I always felt safe and comfortable at the Joglo. The only downside, which is not isolated to just this place but any place near the rice terraces and open roof, is the amount of bugs. There are good mosquito nets around the bed and I'd ask the staff to spray each night, which helped, but still got some bites. I will definitely recommend the Joglo to friends and family.
We had the most beautiful time at Joglo Taman Sari. The place was recommended to us by a friend and exceeded even her glowing review. The rooms are lovely and private, the view sublime from the pool or your quaint balcony, and the staff endlessly helpful and good fun. We walked the streets of Ubud and nowhere had the seclusion and peacefulness of this place. Heaven is a watermelon juice at Joglo Taman Sari, I can't recommend it highly enough.
We stayed for 2 nights. Room was really small but was clean and had storage room. The bathroom was great and spacious. Included breakfast was ok, nothing special. Location is great if you have a scooter but walking to the markets on a hot day is exhausting. Reception organised a scooter to be dropped off which was great. Not great internet... It wasn't working in our room and we were told it was because of the tower and no one in the area had internet reception (this wasn't true, everywhere else had Internet). It worked on our last day so not sure what happened. The staff were friendly. All in all, not a bad place to stay, nothing mind blowing: 6/10
The pictures do not lie and this hotel does lead to a very unique experience. The hotel is located at the end of a very long narrow street. The plus side of this is that you are away from the noise and traffic of the main street but the negative is that it is pretty remote and dark come late night [which is when I arrived].
The hotel looks just like in the pictures, and and intimate. You should be advised that staying on the edge of the rice field will mean that there will be a lot of insects, frogs and other creatures that inhabit such an ecosystem. If you are squeamish of such noises then you are not going to enjoy yourself especially when it's after sunset. On the other hand, waking up to a beautiful sunset overlooking the rice fields is quite an experience.
The staff are really friendly especially the little girl who serves you breakfast. The manager was a little unhappy when I shifted hotels the following evening and was not very helpful in getting a cab which left me feeling a little weirded out.
Alexandra herself was great – although I didn't get to meet her in person, she was pretty quick in responding to my request to book a room for a night even though my request is made around 5:30 PM. She also gave me old information I needed to find the place relatively easily.
Absolutely loved this place! The breakfast served to your little deck each morning was delicious (we got the banana pancakes, fresh fruit & coffee). The staff was so welcome and lovely. The little huts were small but perfect & the AC was a nice treat. The pool was so nice to swim in and well maintained with beautiful view of the rice fields. Only compliant was the very loud roosters that woke us up every morning but that is pretty standard in Bali. Would definitely stay here again!
Our stay was great. Staff was very helpful, yummy breakfast every morning. The villas are tiny but they have hot water and are cleaned every day. We found this to be a perfect stay for while we were in ubud.
