What is necessary to meet new guys and new cultures!
There is very cheap but very dirty and inconvenience.
If you looking for utmost cheap place in th LA, that seems be probably will smart choice, but the another case, your trip will be screw up.
Lots of starving young actors live here. If you have never stayed in this type of an environment (lots of beds in one room) it may take a couple of days to get used to but very cheap and worth the inconvenience of sharing a room... especially if you work and are only home to sleep shower and leave anyway.
Great place to stay! Bring your own pillow, sheets, toilet paper, soap and other personal hygiene items.
Mike was very friendly, accommodating and positive. You also meet a lot of new people and friends which is really helpful if you are new to LA and are looking to network. Great Host! Would recommend him to anyone!
It was my first trip in LA , AND I LIKED IT ! Mike has a nice personnality , he is very cool and helpful, also u will meet a lot of nice people too ! i really enjoyed my trip if i can come back i will ! Plus its very close to the transport, u can go everywhere it is a good deal :) For me they were like a familly ... because i had nobody overthere but they were always here for me then i really recommand you this place :)
Just think to bring ur own stuffs like (sheets and pillow( if you can :) is the most important thing the rest you can buy :)
I stayed here for a couple months when I was living in LA. Mike and Dimitri were great hosts and were always very responsive, helpful and easy to reach. This is a perfect place to meet a lot of people, figure things out, and if you are traveling to LA from afar, this is a good location as its right next to the metro and you can catch buses easily. As someone mentioned before, bring your own toiletries and food and such, and have fun!
This was our very first visit to L.A. We have booked at the Hollywood location at first but we were transferred to downtown due to some problem (apparently water leak). Mike was very kind and helpful especially at guiding us by phone from the airport to the house. The location is very safe and in a peaceful area and nearby is a Pico Alyso metro station (two station from Union station). There is also the One dollar shop and Purgatory pizza nearby - delicious. Mike is very kind and hospitable. You should take into account that there is no bedding provided (no no towels, pillows, etc) in the house so you should bring some along. We've met some very nice people especially Ryan gave us lots of help giving us directions.
Overall it was a nice experience taking into account the money spent and we hope to return one day but hopefully on the Hollywood location ;-)
