Hi my name is Paul,
We are two world travellers living in this modern house on the outskirts of Dublin!
Once we found the place, we had an excellent time! Everything was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was amazing (there's nothing quite like Paul's bread). It's a great location if you want to not only experience Dublin, but get a taste of the countryside - and very close to the airport. Maeve was very helpful with directions and tips for what to see, and was gracious enough to give us a ride to the airport! Excellent hosts! Just be sure to get clear instructions on finding the apartment - the address is not complete.
Comfortable and quiet (and small) room. Hosts were gracious enough to let us stay even though it wasn't the best of circumstances at the time. Good location. Great breakfast! Be sure to contact the host before attempting to find their place - the address provided isn't entirely complete.
Incredibly helpful hosts...even drove us into the city, perhaps having pity on us for our driving challenges. Paul even woke up early to see us off for a 6 am flight.highly recommend thisinteresting couple who have motorbiked alaska to argintina. Artistic flair thruout comfortable. Home.
Paul&Maeve were great hosts and very experienced travelers themselves. We had the best breakfast! Fresh baked bread and muffins by Paul. Clean, comfortable & nice bed. Good location very close to the airport. Very much enjoyed the stay!
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Paul & Maeve were excellent hosts; we would recommend them to anyone looking to stay just outside of Dublin. Staying with them was a great experience. Their place is located close enough to the airport so that it is a quick ride if you're catching an early flight. They were both warm & welcoming and extremely informative about Dublin and the local village of Malahide. Our stay was as comfortable as could be and breakfast each morning was delicious and even more than we could have asked for!
Response from Paul:
Thanks guys! You're the best and you're both welcome to stay anytime.
Perfect location to make a very early plane - thanks Paul!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying with Maeve, Paul and little Kieran (who at only 4 months is already a little ladies man:). They were extremely helpful on where to go and even gave us lifts to some places. The breakfast every day was delicious. Paul really went out of his way in cooking us sausages, muffins and bread. Malahide is beautiful and only takes approximately 20 minutes by bus to central Dublin.
Everything was great! The house is a little off the main road but it is easy to get to once you know it. Paul and Maive (I hope I got the spelling right) were excellent. They gave us great advice about the area and made arrangements in nearby Mahahide for us to have dinner the first night. They were also great conversationalists with very interesting stories to tell. However, they were also very sensitive to when we needed private time to do whatever.
The bed was very comfortable...my wife and I slept very well all 4 nights. Breakfast was more than just a biscuit and a pat on the back. We had a full Irish Breakfast (it was Sunday) the first day. They are working professionals, so things were a little lower key the next few days. But the baked goods were fresh and excellent. Hand made no less! Every day, the breakfast was very satisfying.
We did not have a car so we took the bus. The stop was very convenient and the bus ride about 20 minutes into central Dublin. We saw some nearby attractions as well and one day they were nice enough to give us a ride to where we were going. That should be counted on much more as a luxury but we very much appreciated it.
All and all, everything was very casual and they were very accommodating. We felt like we were staying with good friends much more than at "just another place" to stay. If we make it back and it is available we will definitely look to staying here again.
Go raibh maith agaibh!
