I am a musician and a record label manager. Watching sunsets from the porch of this house is my favorite summer routine.
We had such a wonderful time at Adam's. It's a beautiful location, with hiking and swimming within minutes. Adam was a great host. He greeted us with a tour and loads of recommendations. The house was peaceful, clean and comfortable, with a great kitchen to cook in. All in all - a wonderful weekend away. Look forward to returning again!
We had a great time at Adam's place. Our trip centered around Ring Weekend at West Point so we did not get to enjoy the house and surroundings as much as we would have liked. The setting of the house and the views are beautiful. If you are visiting WP, it is VERY convenient. I would definitely come again.
We had a great stay at Adam's place. Adam was very flexible and accommodating and his house is fantastic. We really enjoyed the beautiful areas around the place. Couldn't have been better for a get-away weekend. We are already looking through our calendars to find a date for a new visit!
We rented Adam's house for West Point Graduation week 2013 and it was perfect. It's about a 10-15 minute drive to WP, off the beaten path yet easy to find. Nice area, private and quiet with hiking out the door. We had a small gathering after graduation and everyone commented on what a great house it was, from the pool table in the basement to the large open main floor which was perfect for a bit of dancing. Thanks Adam!
Adam's place was perfect for a girls' retreat outside of the city. The views are beautiful, and the waterfall nearby is a must-see. Adam was also very helpful and communicative. We are definitely going back!
Writing this review longing to be back at Adam's gorgeous home in the woods! My group and I traveled from Brooklyn for a weekend getaway in August. We traveled by bike, which was ambitious but do-able (the hills near Adam's home get very steep in order to provide the spectacular view). We found Adam's home to be clean, spacious beyond what the photo's revealed, and absolutely lovely. We found plenty of room to sleep our party of 7 without crowding one another, enjoyed playing ping pong outdoors, eating in the four season porch (dining room) and lounging on the deck. If you like to cook you're in luck, Adam's kitchen is stocked with good dishes (and a dishwasher!)Adam left out menus and maps and information about the town aplenty and made it very easy for us to have a fun and comfortable weekend. The house is surrounded by beautiful forests and an incredible hiking trail is just a few steps away. We spent the afternoon in the woods skipping through waterfalls and admiring the plant life. All in all this home provided an ideal (and stunning) respite from the city and was all we could have asked for. Also, Adam was incredibly responsive and helpful in accomodating my numerous questions prior to booking. We would LOVE to rent this house again, I cannot imagine a season when the view wouldn't be stunning and the time had incredible.
Adam was very helpful and accommodating with check-in and check-out. The location of the house is beautiful, set in a really nice wooded area. Peaceful. House has great amenities and is very big. Nice kitchen, very clean bathrooms.
Although calling this place dirty would be an unkind exaggeration, the cleanliness in general and the floors and carpets in particular, did not meet our expectations. While the master bedroom is great, the second bedroom is rather shabby in appearance and uncomfortable to stay in. For what it is, this airbnb property is way overpriced at close to two hundred a night.
Adam is really nice. He met us, showed us around, and gave some good suggestions of places to eat / things to do.
House is beautiful - tons of light, open layout, and has a nice view.
Location is ideal - we hiked (an easy trail) to a nearby waterfall and hit up storm king arts center which was just a short drive away.
I would go back again.
Adam's place is great! Comfortable, clean and as described. Adam was also a very considerate host and offered to show us the entrace to a few hiking trails. Perfect weekend getaway from NYC!
Adam was a very kind and gracious host who opened his beautiful and clean house up to us. While the roads are poorly marked for those trying to travel there, the destination is well worth the effort. The house is gorgeous and rests in the mountains where trails and eco-systems abound. Additionally, the host is very environmentally conscious and provides guests with all the amenities that one would expect. One of the best decisions of the spring was relaxing in Adam's piece of paradise.
