Jay and Linda are an amazing host and more enjoyable host. Their knowledge on Music and local attractions were really great which helped us to have a wonderful and memorable trip. They even sung a Barn Song and it was absolutely amazing.
We enjoyed sharing conversation with them while in their home. The house is clean, cute and comfortable. The Banana bread which Linda made for us is worth mentioning.. yummy..
Linda and Jay are nice folks. We enjoyed sharing conversation with them while in their home. The house is clean, cute and comfortable. The bed was OK, not the most comfortable. We were surprised that the room was upstairs and integral to their home use and not separate or with a separate entrance or bath. Accommodations were basic, but the hosts were wonderful.
We really enjoy our stay in Linda and Jay's home.
Their house is very pretty and clean, they prepared us a very good breakfast and Linda's pancakes are delicious!
But most of all, we shared good times chatting with them, they are very kind.
You are welcome in our home any time. Who knows perhaps we'll get to visit your Mom and Dad's place in France!
Jay and Linda
I have spent numerous visits at the Banta residence and always look forward to the next. They are warm and hospitable and thoughtful of my special needs. Thank you Jay and Linda. Andrea Ellen
Jay and Linda are great folks. I met them a few years ago when they moved to Vermont and started connecting with the musical communities here. They are very warm, interesting and enjoyable people to know!
I have known Jay and Linda for around 40 years. Jay was one of my Church Youth Ministers back in the 70's and I have fond memories of sitting around and singing all the great camp songs - he and Linda were amazing then and still are. They are both very talented musicians and warm and loving people. Their home is also amazing - very cozy and welcoming. My husband and I enjoyed a lovely weekend with them in the Spring of 2010. It was our first visit to Vermont and they made it truly memorable. If you want to see a beautiful part of Vermont and meet two of the most amazing people on this planet - this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!!!
I have known Jay and Linda for approximately 45 years. Jay was one of my Church Youth Ministers when I was a youth. I have spent many nights singing with Jay and Linda at Church Retreats. I use to babysit their 2 children years ago. I have found them both to be trustworthy and faithful friends. Jay and Linda both have outstanding personalities and truly love people and life! You will enjoy your stay with them.
I have known Jay and Linda for many years through my participation as a member of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra Chorus. We have made music together, broken bread together and become very close over the years. They are people of good humor and good character and I know you will enjoy your time with them and their limitless hospitality. Just tell them I sent you.
I've known Jay and Linda for over 15 years through our participation in the Vermont Symphony Chorus and also in Maple Jam-acapella vocal jazz ensemble.
Jay and Linda are warm, welcoming, down to earth hosts...which I know because I've stayed at their home many times. There's always lots of good things to eat, good music, and open hearted hospitality. There's also a marvelous big yellow lab who treats you as his best friend.
One of my favorite days spent with Jay and Linda was when we went to Solarfest to enjoy a day of outdoor live music and sunshine. We brought our camp chairs and set up our home base on the big sloping hill that faced the stage and listened to one marvelous performer after another. Jay was so inspired by some of the singing he heard that he dashed over to buy some of the performers' cds. We had super delicious lunches at the food pavillion that featured all locally raised, organic food. Then the headliner act, the Housejacks, came on and we were treated to a wonderful concert of their amazing acapella jazz/rock/wildness. The the long hike back to the car, heading back to their house with a stop at an organic farm store for supplies. We all cooked together and made a great meal or pasta, spinach, bbq chicken and sundried tomatoes. Then we spent the evening singing folksongs. What a full and happy July day that was.
I whole heartedly recommend Jay and Linda to other Airbnb members because they are my dearest friends and the kindest and most generous people I know. They are the definition of hospitality.
Jay and I know each other from singing together. Jay is a great person, very responsible and responsive! You'll be well taken care of.
