We had a wonderful stay. Thanks Laura!
We've really enjoyed our spring family vacation at Laura's house! The room was spacious and beautiful with an amazing view of the garden. It was such a pleasure to get out to the deck in the morning and enjoy the view. Laura made us feel very comfortable in the house and invited to use the kitchen and dining table which is so much better than to go to restaurants for every meal! Laura's breakfast scones and homemade jams were delicious and it was an amazing start of the day. We've brought our bikes for this trip and enjoyed the beautiful and family friendly The West County Biking Trail which starts only five minutes from Laura's house in Forestville and goes to Sevastopol and all the way to Santa-Rosa. Also, we loved biking and hiking trails in nearby Armstrong Redwoods. It was wonderful to explore Sonoma Valley this way and it was a pleasure by the end of the day to stop at the local store to buy fresh organic groceries and enjoy a homemade dinner and wine in the relaxing atmosphere of Laura's house. We've had a wonderful time and would really love to come again!
It was our 2nd time using airbnb. This was far BETTER than the first one. The room was SPACIOUS and CLEAN. The host was very helpful - easily accessible via text. She was very knowledgeable re the restaurants and all. Forestville is a very good location where we can go to Calistoga, Geyersville and Healdsburg within 30 minutes of driving time.
Laura and family were wonderful hosts. The room was great and clean and the home was lovely. We were offered wine when we arrived and even got a lovely tasting of Laura's delicious homemade apartifs. We also we treated to tasty, fresh, breakfasts both nights we were there (Laura's scones were so good!) The only disappointment was that it wasn't warm enough to go in the pool. Great experience!
We had a great weekend getaway staying at Laura's house! Laura and her family are wonderful hosts. We didn't get to spend much time getting to know each other as we had planned a busy weekend but they were extremely kind and helpful during our few interactions.
I highly recommend their place. Room is lovely, just as described on the website, with a view on the beautiful pool outside. Would stay here again. Thank you Laura!
We loved our stay with Laura & family! They were great with communication and scheduling. We had wonderful conversation over wine (ours) & cheese (theirs) one night... they even watched our dog for a couple hours so we could go for a "date" dinner! We would definitely go back!!
This was our second stay at Laura's and of course it was a wonderful experience. Laura is very welcoming and serves an excellent breakfast. She provides useful information about the area The room and bed are spacious and comfortable We will most likely return and recommend this airbnb to anyone.
Meeting Laura is a treat! She is full of life, full of energy, interesting, funny and kind. My partner Bill and I both enjoyed staying in her welcoming home. From providing coffee in the morning to sharing her artisanal aperitifs (awesome), Laura is a wonderful host. We had some wonderful conversations, and look forward to continuing them! My highest recommendation!
We had a lovely getaway weekend and stayed at Laura's. Her place is beautiful and quiet. There was plenty of room for us to relax after a long day out and about. Laura was a lovely host and really so kind. She was full of information about the local area and had great recommendations for restaurants in various areas. My husband and I really look forward to go back, in part just to visit with Laura and her husband. :-)
We had an amazing time at Laura's. Beyond expectation and we will definitely be returning. The room was perfect. Quiet, bright, large, high ceilings, with a simply delightful view of the winter garden below and mountain vistas across the valley. The room is more like a studio with its big bathroom, giant tub, and private entrance. But beyond the room, Laura created a magical experience to be remembered. From our first morning, waking up to homemade granola, organic yogurt, fruit and french-press to our New Years morning on the deck where Laura brought out mushroom omelets, biscuits, and marmalade we could not have been happier. Laura was gracious, warm, and fun. We even brought friends over for a private tasting of Laura's amazing hand-crafted aperitifs! The entire experience was a celebration of life and relaxation. Every once in awhile you meet someone who reminds you there is an art to hosting, Laura has it in spades. And her entire family is just the same. We'll be back in the summer for the swimming pool and wineries!
Perfect guests would love to have them stay again.
We've been Chris and Laura's guests many many times, and each time we leave their wonderful place refreshed and renewed. The views from the guest room and the adjoining vine-veiled deck really do look like Tuscany (well, pictures of Tuscany; we haven't actually been to Tuscany; why go to all the way to Italy, we say, when we can go to Chris and Laura's?). The food and conversation are always inspired, and the pool is one of our very favorite places to take an early morning swim. I highly recommend Chris and Laura's B&B to everyone!
This has got to be the best deal in all of the wine country! Not only is this country home beautiful, secluded, and quiet, it is splendidly located with sweeping--truly Tuscan--views. And if you prefer your quiet times to be laced with a solid shot of intellectual stimulation, you will find that this is a family made up of world-class conversationalists. For years now, this has been a touchstone environment for our family, and we have never left Laura and Chris and their wonderful place without feeling refreshed and renewed. We've often compared our stays to being in a unique and lovely B&B. Now you can see what we mean.
